1,000 weapons recovered at Waco biker brawl? Not quite, cops now say

Police in Waco, Texas, have sharply revised downward the number of weapons seized after a deadly brawl in a shopping center parking lot that left nine people dead, 18 wounded and 177 facing criminal charges of engaging in an organized criminal activity..

Police said earlier this week they expected to recover 1,000 weapons but now put the number at about 320.

Snip-- The weapons recovered include 118 handguns, 157 knives and 43 others, which includes brass knuckles and chains. Some weapons had been quickly stashed -- under seat cushions and even in a toilet. Police also said an AK-47 assault rifle was recovered.

Swanton blamed the complexity of the crime scene for some of the confusion about the number of weapons.

On Sunday, members of five motorcycle gangs met at the Twin Peaks restaurant in a shopping center in Waco for what participants have said was a previously scheduled meeting to discuss common issues, such as pending motorcycle safety legislation.

“Sombreros, like the cowboy hats invented later”

Northern Europeans had slouch hats that they brought to the U.S.

Spanish developed the sombrero.

Stetson invented the Cowboy hat.

VT-23 had Buckeyes when I was there. Throughout my career I got traps on Ranger (self loading baggage midshipman), America, Saratoga, Nimitz, GW, and Independence.

Well the question was asked why. I don’t believe that everyone picked up was part of organized crime. I’m thinking now most all people killed or wounded was by cops.

“I don’t believe that everyone picked up was part of organized crime.”

Do you believe that the Bandidos are organized crime?

Fallout:

Ray Gold, founder of the One Eyed Jack’s Saloon in Sturgis, told the AP he will no longer serve beer to bikers wearing vests that indicate they are in a biker gang. “We don’t want gangs here because we lose good customers,” he said.

Fact: The ‘meeting’ was hosted by the Texas Coalition of Clubs and Independents which is run by the Bandidos. They were there not to discuss new motorcycle laws but to settle turf issues.

It's obvious you know nothing about what you are talking about. These meetings have been going on in Texas and other states for at least 18 years. Here's what is a fact. This meeting was like any other. A meeting of bike clubs and independents to talk about legislative issues and anything else deemed necessary to the health and welfare of the biker community.

Now I understand that is an extremely difficult concept for you to grasp but it is a fact.

Here is what was different this time. An army of cops posted outside with a swat sniper team and around 60 Cossack MC members who were not invited and were there to cause trouble.

To go after anyone other than the Cossacks in this case is just plain idiotic and ignorant.

I try to support the police but when they do something this stupid and ignorant it makes it damn near impossible.

The entire state of Texas cops have since declared war on patch holders and anyone sporting a support sticker on their car or bike for the Bandidos, Cossacks, Scimitars, and likely a few others we don't yet know about.

Every time you post you prove your ignorance just as caww, desertrino, and a few others do. The only good thing you do is give those who know better an opportunity to correct you and show how ignorant you are.

Every single one of those arrested have the same legal rights you do as long as they are legal citizens. If you truly are a conservative, which is what this forum is for, you would know that and support their rights.

Who cares. It has nothing to do with being gunned down in a massacre by snipers.

I have seen plenty of riding leathers that were not adorned in the fashion of the biker gangs.

I ride with the patriot guard. If you were to take a casual look at many that I ride with, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference, ouside of the parade flags. I tend not to ride with full leaters myself, but the same cannot be said of many of my compatriots.
