1,000 weapons recovered at Waco biker brawl? Not quite, cops now say

Police in Waco, Texas, have sharply revised downward the number of weapons seized after a deadly brawl in a shopping center parking lot that left nine people dead, 18 wounded and 177 facing criminal charges of engaging in an organized criminal activity..

Police said earlier this week they expected to recover 1,000 weapons but now put the number at about 320.

Snip-- The weapons recovered include 118 handguns, 157 knives and 43 others, which includes brass knuckles and chains. Some weapons had been quickly stashed -- under seat cushions and even in a toilet. Police also said an AK-47 assault rifle was recovered.

Swanton blamed the complexity of the crime scene for some of the confusion about the number of weapons.

On Sunday, members of five motorcycle gangs met at the Twin Peaks restaurant in a shopping center in Waco for what participants have said was a previously scheduled meeting to discuss common issues, such as pending motorcycle safety legislation.

You left out the upper and lower teeth. This is shaping up to be another Mt. Carmel.

“You are a ignorant, but you have a lot of company in that regard..”

You got that right. You are fighting an uphill battle with several here on this site. They are proud of their ignorance, and will exhibit it proudly.

You have the right not to participate. You even have the right to be offensive in your misunderstanding of what biker clubs are all about. But you don’t have the right to label good citizens as being all criminals without being challenged by me. Like any group of free spirited or dullard people, you will have your bad apples.. To tar and feather all of these people is not only beyond ignorance (stupid), but it’s highly insulting.

Wholesale killing of citizens by State gunfire and the mass arrest of hundreds more on capital charges is what tyrant armies do in occupied territory.

Goes hand in hand with - and grows out from - the above points you mention. It's not just ignorant, stupid and highly insulting - it's also a disgusting declaration of being a domestic enemy of the Constitution.

Shrug. Sometimes it's only tyranny when other people do it, and those who really do like the taste and style of whips and jackboots show themselves as only lip service advocates of real freedom.

How's this for a thought?

All men are created equal. All men have rights, among them the right to life, liberty and happiness.

Machine gunning people because you have class discontent with them is simply barbaric.

“It would really be in your best interests to stop making a horses patooty of yourself at some point in the near future.. ‘

Does that mean you are going to send your ‘associates’ after me?

Since when does she or her boss care if some honkie bikers kill each other?

I think I read yesterday that ALL the dead were shot by the cops. So in this "dangerous brawl" not a single biker was killed by another biker. Sounds to me like the cops went on a killing spree.

You’re just bright enough to misunderstand the situation.

You ain't going to get one. The witnesses are locked up and are going to stay that way until they learn the right version of what they "witnessed". Should, upon released, they have a memory loss as to what they "witnesses", they will either meet with an unfortunate "accident" or be locked away on trumped up charges well into the 25 century.

Someone can asked what happened and they will sound like a bunch of Polly Parrots reciting. This was Mt. Carmel all over again and when someone in power deems it necessary, members of the Tea Party. This one was in Texas. The next one could be Washington, D.C.

Joseph Columbo, head of the NYC Mafia crime family, started an organization called “Italian-American Civil Rights League” in 1970.

Regardless of his motives, this gave some credibility to him for a time, inspite of his criminal activities. Membership reached over 100,000 at the peak.

Columbo was gunned down in 1971 at one of the organization’s public rallies.

The organization eventually withered away.

Parallels?

I cannot accuse anyone of anything. But there are cops who steal all sorts of things in situations like arrests, stops, and searches etc. especially things they can carry away without anyone being able to protest or see which cop took what items. And of course cash , weapons, jewelry are tops of the list

Hmm. Seems like that was what a lot here on FR were calling form in the Ferguson and Baltimore riots.

Oh yeah!

Government mandated dress code for bikers.......lol...

BTW.....I don’t believe that any biker, in my experience, has the least bit of concern about being mistaken for “quote”, “A bad man”, because of the style of dress.

It’s not a concern, any more than a cowboy hat is a sign of a outlaw like Jessie James..

"Eight Cossacks and one Bandido were killed"

Since the Cossacks are the smaller club, that's some amazing shooting by the cops.

“Since the Cossacks are the smaller club, that’s some amazing shooting by the cops. “

Poor shooting.

According to the ‘line’ here on FR, the Feds were out to get the Bandidos.

The Cossacks were a FBI/DEA/HSA front in that effort.

The Feds sent the Cossacks in to start a fight with the Bandidos so that the cops could then kill the Bandidos.

the AK Platform Rifle is legal to have in your truck as per Texas Law. Unless its a real AK (99.999999% its not) and full auto.

It is legal if you have a stamp for it.

hmmm. I hate to make assumptions but it seems like you are implying that the police should not take action to protect themselves and the community from rioters?
