Lets clarify, this was 1400 people who were investigated, not 1400 with proof against them, or charged or jailed.
It is a little disturbing to me that we have 1400 people having been ‘investigated’ going back as far as 50 years, apparently and there is no mention of what seems to be a systemic problem with “Asians” abusing young girls and women in present day England (London, principally).
From a long-term problem perspective, the “Asian” attitude of abuse of women and the degree to which this happens is more disturbing. So, in this regard, with all the interest and resources devoted to 1400 specific individual cases, where is the program plan for this “Asian” problem?
[”Asian” as used here isn’t the usual ethnic/nationality tag one would use. But it seems descriptions coming from UK media always prefer to use it when they cannot or will not say what group it really pertains to. IMO, You cannot solve a problem unless you can correctly name it.]
