ROME, May 19, 2015 (LifeSiteNews.com) -- Pope Francis has appointed radically liberal, pro-homosexual Dominican Father Timothy Radcliffe as a consultor for the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace.

The Holy Father made the appointment on Saturday, according to Vatican Radio.

Father Radcliffe, an Englishman, author and speaker, was Master of the Dominican order from 1992 to 2001, and is an outspoken proponent of homosexuality.

"We must accompany [gay people] as they discern what this means, letting our images be stretched open,” he said in a 2006 religious education lecture in Los Angeles. “This means watching 'Brokeback Mountain,' reading gay novels, living with our gay friends and listening with them as they listen to the Lord."

In 2005, as the Vatican deliberated the admission of men with homosexual tendencies to study for the priesthood in the wake of the Church sex abuse scandal, Father Radcliffe said that homosexuality should not bar men from the priesthood, and rather, those who oppose it should be banned. ...

Given that I said that every single Pope has warts, I don’t see how you arrive at the conclusion that I hold that The Church has no warts.

So you DO think it has warts?

No. I have found reporters take a piece of something the Pope says, leaving out parts of it, so it makes a sensational wrong statement.

I'd think that by reply #313 that SOME one would have gotten the CORRECT version and posted it here.

Or did you simply feel the need to snark against a side-conversation which wasn't addressed to you?

Stay outta your bidness?

:) Y’know... for YOU to say that *I* was “rambling” is really, REALLY getting close to making the irony dense enough to collapse into an “ironic black hole”...

Nice to see you again, Elsie.

:) ...and... let's see... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... eight surreal "micro-burst" comments in a row, all clustered within 5 minutes (and with the patented "Elsie multimedia and technicolor (TM)", too!), on my ping list... and all from the guy who says that I'm "rambling" and "ranting".

Wow. Chutzpah, thy name is "Elsie". :) Thanks for the chuckle!

Muslims worship a false god.
No, they do not. They worship the One True God, but they worship Him in almost complete ignorance of His True Nature...

They do not worship the triune God of the Bible.. like the Mormons they have a false God.. they are "just not wrong on this one point" ..they have a completely false god..

Go learn about Islam and get your eyes opened...CCC 841 teaches heresy and manifest error. It teaches that Catholics worship the false god of Islam.

In some ways they do Hoss..They do not have a god that saves to the outermost either ...like Muslims they need to work their way to heaven... and ask them about "baptism by blood" ..heaven by being martyrs for the "faith"

Sounds a lot like Obama.

I wish devout Catholics would wake up and stop making excuses for Pope Putz.

Unfortunately, not.

You can always send a little old nun up to his quarters with cup of hot cocoa, though.

True... I think though, sadly, it's in most ways. Muslims worship a false god. Catholics are the ones who may actually try to worship the one true living God, just "in ignorance of his true nature" -- funny how that description of Muslims is actually Catholic projection... :(

But, CCC 841 is written the way it's written and I can't help but see it for what it is... a blasphemous statement.

Fast reading and response is a BAD thing?

Once again; it is the presentation that bugs you; not the content.

“But, CCC 841 is written the way it's written and I can't help but see it for what it is... a blasphemous statement.”

I don't believe the older Baltimore Catechism has it. “It was the de facto standard Catholic school text in the United States from 1885 to the late 1960s. It was the first such catechism written for Catholics in North America, replacing a translation of Bellarmine’s Small Catechism.”

The Catechism of the Catholic Church (or CCC) is a “catechism promulgated for the Catholic Church by Pope John Paul II in 1992.”

The Catholic Church is changing.

:) FRiend, you're more than welcome to spray as much technicolor-laden, hyperlinked, multi-size, graphics-rich, surreality-enriched, incoherent content... in whatever style... as you please! It really won't bother me; I was just pointing out the logical inconsistency between your comments and your actions. I'm quite accomplished at the use of the scroll bar, to get past your comments (since the down arrow usually isn't fast enough to go past such a large volume), so there's no need to worry about me being "bugged".
