I was “done” with ABC news the minute they hired the little creep.

Pff. I haven’t watched any “talking heads” shows in twenty years.

Total waste of time, and frustrating too.

Great post. We unhooked cable 12 years ago; we have not updated our TV so we cannot even get local channels.

Hulu, Hulu Plus for us. And we simply buy DVDs of the movies and TV shows we want to watch. My son just bought all five seasons of Leverage which we are all enjoying!!

It’s hard to boycott a show I never watch. Quit watching years ago.

Back in the 1980s, I would watch “This Week with David Brinkley.”

Brinkley at least tried to give the appearance of being even-handed.

Then, in the 90s, the media went totally left-wing. No letup, no breaks, no exceptions. Who needs it? They are as predictable as tomorrow’s sunrise. What’s the point? It’s all aimed at low information voter billygoats.

Others will no doubt skewer me if I'm invited to appear on a news program.

In his dreams ...

Lemme get this straight, though: he's boycotting the shows, but not only expects to appear on one, but would actually do it?

Some boycott ...

American TV News is simply Disinfotianment

the media been presenting “news” as entertainment and vice versa for decades....

as you likely know....to enjoy entertainment,....one must suspend ones sense of disbelief.

viola....nbc abc ETC....hitthe political jackpot...

the average viewers wishing to BE entertained suspends their disbelief andare thus primed to gobble up and digest just about.... ANYTHING.

steponwafulstuff is just another jive entertainer

I dumped them all in the '90s.

Pat Caddell called it.

I dumped the MSM 10+years ago...talk radio and reading the internet is all is needed. The cable news channels suck hard...MSNBC..FOX..CNN all are worthless.

It’s not just a matter of turningoff the drivel....it’s also something to consider how much time you/we’ve blown off over the years and how many goofball ideas one has acquired from watching this crap.

We turn on our big fat screen maybe 10x per year only to tune into alleged “live events”.

I was stunned during the last live event, how it’s turned into even more of wasteland of pampas propaganda, a production put on mostly by what appears to be prostitutes in night club attire.

I imagine in a few years, they’ll have to give the news topless or in bikini’s to keep the slack-jawed morons tuned in.

From the article:

So try my experiment. I've decided to take a break from TV news -- cable and network...

I did this in 2006 right after the midterms...even the overly rated Fox News. I haven't looked back. There's nothing that can be gleaned from any of these people in that profession/format. After 2008, I gave up talk radio, too. I have respect for Rush, Levin, Prager, and a few others, but I could no longer stand to listen to things after Obama won. It all seemed so futile. I'm glad those people are still on radio day after day, and I'll still tune in on a rare occasion, but it was no longer adding to my life personally, so I tuned it all out to try to have a little bit of sanity. I definitely agree that the liberal media should be boycotted...as much as possible. Conservatives shouldn't support them.

I watched this interview and predicted the Stephanopoulos would ask ZERO positive questions and nothing except attack and defend the Clintons questions.

My prediction was correct. And this was before we heard one word about the $75,000.

We knew. Freepers just know stuff.
