I promised my Catechism kids that they could have a water fight tomorrow, I was going to buy water guns but ended up getting the nylon covered sponges because I think they’ll be the easiest.
HOLY CRAP! This cannot be real! Where the heck have all the men with testosterone gone in the Boy Scouts!?
If I were part of that Organaization I would hang my head in shame and then resign.
I know right! I would also think that a water balloon the size of ping pong ball isn’t going to pop, but will probably hurt like hell when you get smacked in the face with one.
There were a ton of rules when I was in scouts that were never followed. None of the scouts or parents even know the rules in most cases.
I’m sure they’ll try to do that in the near future. And of course they’ll include gay, lesbian and transgendered kiddies.
Thank goodness the anti-gun crazies haven’t hit Wyoming yet. Two years ago our cubscout day-camp (Friday through Saturday) featured a Cowboy motif (afterall we are in Wyoming!) Kids each were supplied with a wooden rubber-band gun and had a blast! All through out the day whenever two groups of cubscouts passed one-another you could hear their encounter with rapid-fire shouts of “blam ..,blam...blam...blam”. It made me recall my own experiences as a cub/boy scout.
My family has allways owned guns. I myself have over thirty. While I love shooting, hunting and firearm collecting, I have never desired/been tempted to harm another individual. Nor has any of my relatives, friends or neighbors who also share this affection for firearms.
I find this attack on non-guns ridiculous. Everyone around guns knows the difference between play and the real thing.
Head shots, point blank shots, and more than one pump of air was strictly forbidden, the rest, 'Game on!'
No idea. But we had water balloons in the Scouts without all these made-up rules.
we used to play cowboys and indians with BB guns...till my dad got a hold of us LOL. Water pistols are fine...geeeeeeez

I have one of the best jobs in Scouting. I chair the Eagle Scout courts of Honor for our troop.
I can assure all the naysayers and ignorant naysayers here that the quality of youngsters receiving the award is exceptional. If anything it exceeds that of previous years simply because of the many many opportunities for quality kids to consume their time.
That is stupid. What’s next? Giving a badge for promoting gun control?
Wow, they are just getting gayer and gayer.
Knives are next. Watch.
