What an embarrassment to Bu that this harpy is actually part of their faculty. I hope that all BU alums will withdraw contributions to the University until this sorry excuse for an educator is fired.
Watching what BU does on this is going to be incredibly interesting.
What you have here are representative examples of two powerful victims groups (rape survivors and the racially oppressed) turning on each other based on their own experiences and statuses.
Either the adults in the Progressive movement will step in and figure out a way to quash this quickly and quietly, or it’s going to get very, very ugly. BU is facing a PR disaster whatever it does, with the likelihood of massive litigation/settlement if they fire the professor.
BU is indeed facing a PR disaster. I love when ivory-tower academics are made to look stupid. That's why I hope it plays out for many months.
As to liability, I don't see her getting anything. Her controversial posts are grounds for firing, IMHO. But again, let's hope she does take it to court!

They may be grounds for firing, but doing so could cause one heck of a mess. Campus protests, boycotts, etc.
The best deal would be to throw her a lot of $$$ to go away quietly. But she doesn’t seem to be the type to do that.
In fact, I’m also betting that there are other instances of her engaging in this sort of behavior out there. Probably already found and documented/screen-capped. This is the sort of classic drip, drip, drip scenario that scares the hell out of PR crisis managers.
What will probably happen if BU is lucky is that it will convince Saida Grundy to resign and accept a separate bonus in exchange for a hold harmless agreement in which she indemnifies BU and promises to abstain from any further action on her part.
