RE:”Cruz said that the fights over “religious freedom” laws in Indiana and Arkansas were “heartbreaking” examples of how the Democratic Party has “gotten so extreme and so radical in its devotion to mandatory gay marriage that they’ve decided there’s no room for the religious liberty protected under the First Amendment.”

What fights?

I didn't see any fighting.

I saw a rout, total surrender,.

The Republicans caved three times as I see it.

Last year then Republican Governor Jan Brewer vetoed a religious freedom bill in Arizona passed by her legislature apparently under corporate pressure including the NFL some said.

What figured prominently were calls by the two US Senators including McCain and a tweet from Mitt Romney calling on her to veto the bill.

Then this year’s caves under pressure from the business world (including some corporate giants) from Republican governors Mike Pence in Indiana and Asa Hutchinson from Arkansas on religious freedom bills.

I’m for Ted Cruz because his rhetoric on this is the clearest by far, but I could polish it up for him even more.

They were skirmishes, followed by squishes.
