WASHINGTON (AP) – Texas Senator Ted Cruz says he is signing up his family for health care coverage through the Affordable Care Act – a law the Republican presidential candidate has vowed to repeal should he win the White House.

>>>>
Cruz on Tuesday told The Des Moines Register that his family is looking at plans offered under the health care law. <<<<
The Cruz family previously received its coverage through a plan offered by his wife’s employer. Heidi Cruz is taking an unpaid leave of absence to help her husband’s campaign and is losing access to her health care plan.
The Texas Republican has been a strident opponent of the health care law, also known as Obamacare. He still is telling voters that he will repeal the law if elected president in 2016

Your point is?

This says his family was looking at plans offered from the federal exchange under Obamacare.

The bit you posted doesn’t show the publication date.

Has to be old news.

Like Paul Harvey’s “The Rest of the Story”, there’s more.

They signed up for a plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield instead.

However, all plans have to conform to HHS regs.

Everyone, Cruz included, is stuck with this disaster until we are rid of it.

This writer is a dim blub. He was complying with Obamacare by purchasing a policy instead of going without, and purchasing a policy that has been Obamanized ( all the new contracts ) On the open market with after tax dollars I might add, and not through an Exchange. They chose a private policy and they as well as everyone else is taking it up the ying-yang by paying with after tax dollars vs if they did it through a small business and could deduct it on line 29 of the 1040. Allowing everyone to purchase with pre-tax dollars would have made a helluva lot more sense that full blown Obamacare..
