RIP. Saw him at a little club in Indianapolis when I was training at Ft Benjamin Harrison in 1981. Better in person than on TV.

My sister was a blues player, and a huge fan of B.B. King. One of her biggest thrills was getting to go to hear him play.

May he rest in peace.

At least we can be thankful that some of the greats like BB King and Les Paul had a good, long life and played until the end.

Others like Stevie Ray Vaughan died much too early.

Got to see him in Laughlin NV around 10 years ago. He was looking rough and needed help on stage getting around but the man could still play. Man oh man could he play.

RIP BB.

“Played till the end”

RIP B.B.

My brother went to see him at a local casino two years ago. I was excited and impressed and asked him how it was.

“Well - he started off introducing the band - I thought that was cool. At first. But he took about 20 minutes to do it. And then it was time for music! Except it was him strumming ‘You are my sunshine’ and trying to have the crowd sing along....”

I can’t recall how long my brother lasted, but he said everyone walked out. Sad.

B.B. King sure was an icon though and some great music!
