In a burst of bipartisanship, the Republican-controlled Senate put President Obama's trade agenda back on course on Thursday, clearing the way for likely approval within days for legislation allowing the administration to negotiate global deals that Congress could support or reject but not change.
The 65-33 vote to resurrect the measure capped two days of political intrigue in which Democrats on both sides of the legislation initially joined forces to block action, then reached agreement with Republicans for votes on other enforcement measures to protect workers who lose jobs as a result of exports.

Crony Capitalism is far worse than Socialism It is even more dangerous than Communism as a system because it works. I still think the Bill needs to get 60 votes to cut off debate.
“Ask what would the founding fathers have done.”
For starters, they wouldn’t have wasted their time playing a rigged game.
The only silver cloud in this is that the backers of this madness will lose their rights and their toys then stand there crying. At least the rest of us can point and laugh. Not that it helps, but thats the ONLY good thing that will come from this.
Yes here’s proof that Senators just voted to give Obama unlimitd power to change U.S. laws including immigration laws flooding the USA with foreigner immigrants:

May 12, 2015, Fairfax, Va.Americans for Limited Government President Rick Manning today issued the following statement urging the U.S. Senate to reject granting trade promotion authority to President Barack Obama to negotiate the Trans-Pacific Partnership:
Fast tracking the Trans-Pacific Partnership that includes language making it a living agreement is dangerous as it could lead to a permanent ceding of the Senates authority to ratify treaties. The push to pass fast track is not about free trade, it is about power. It is about whether Congress trusts President Obama to rewrite the regulatory rules for the world. If you dont trust Obama, or if you believe the Senates two-thirds treaty ratification power should be preserved, you should vote no.
Republican/Conservative Leaders Lining up against Fast Track
Senator Jeff Sessions A USTR outline of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (which TPA would expedite) notes in the Key Features summary that the TPP is a living agreement. This means the President could update the agreement as appropriate to address trade issues that emerge in the future as well as new issues that arise with the expansion of the agreement to include new countries. The living agreement provision means that participating nations could both add countries to the TPP without Congress approval (like China), and could also change any of the terms of the agreement, including in controversial areas such as the entry of foreign workers and foreign employees. Again: these changes would not be subject to congressional approval.
This has far-reaching implications: the Congressional Research Service reports that if the United States signs on to an international trade agreement, the implementing legislation of that trade agreement (as a law passed later in time) would supersede conflicting federal, state, and local laws. When this occurs, U.S. workers may be subject to a sudden change in tariffs, regulations, or dispute resolution proceedings in international tribunals outside the U.S.
Promoters of TPA should explain why the American people ought to trust the Administration and its foreign partners to revise or rewrite international agreements, or add new members to those agreements, without congressional approval. Does this not represent an abdication of congressional authority?
There is a saying from poker I like, If you look around the table and can’t figure out who the sucker is, chances are it’s YOU.
This is caesar’s game played by caesar’s rules. If we don’t like it we can lump it. Or we can find another game.
So did Sessions, Lee and other stalwart conservative senators. But Cruz filed an amendment that prohibits US Immigration Law from being overridden.
Yeah, butt butt butt-—the folks who lose jobs over this clusterflock will be happy as clams to know they have been “protected.” yeah-—protected?
Well, let me put it this way. I haven’t seen where it passed with the amendment. And if it did, I’m unaware of dear leader being exactly willing to follow the aspects of law he doesn’t like.

When Rush says he’s an entertainer, some people just refuse to believe that. Levin is the one that claims to be Mr conservative and then forgets to leave the party every time he threatens to.
Jones scares people and people are gutless. He’s right more often than not even if he is theatrical and bombastic. And he interferes with GOP voting. I am about as Anti RonPaul as it gets. But the guy was right about a few issues as we see today. Can’t deny it.
So I should take your word for it over that of Senators Lee, Cruz and Scott?
Yeah, that's what I'm understanding. It's not cool. Cruz is someone I believe in, but man...can we really trust ANYONE anymore?
It's not that they think they don't need us.
They think we have no other place to go. And they're confident that all of the "conservative" talking heads, and even the pseudo-conservatives on this site, will convince us that only "Candidate-GOPe" is electable.
Hey IQ boy...
Johnson Comments on Immigration Bill Vote

Senator Ron Johnson (WI) released the following statement regarding his vote on S. 744, the Immigration Reform Bill:
“America is a compassionate society, and no one wants to separate families by deporting moms and dads or husbands and wives. As a result, I support immigration reform and a path to legal status for people whose only crime was to enter the country illegally when they came here to work. I also recognize that our current immigration laws are not working not for American workers, not for employers, and not for immigrants who want to come to America and play by the rules.

The only ones protected are the dirtbags in DC.
You’ll take whomevers word you wish to take. And convince yourself of the righteousness of it regardless.
