Fox News Poll: Huckabee seen as more ethical than most, Clinton less
Fox News ^ | 05/14/2015 | Dana Blanton

Hillary Clinton wins! Except this is one race she’d rather lose. The former secretary of state and current presidential aspirant tops the list as being “less ethical” than other politicians.

GOP candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee is on top as being “more ethical” than others.

That’s according to the latest Fox News poll that asks voters to rate several announced and unannounced 2016 contenders as being more or less ethical than “most other politicians.”

Some 44 percent of voters think Clinton is less ethical than the typical politician. She’s followed by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie at 37 percent “less ethical.”

On the other side, Huckabee (36 percent “more ethical”) and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul (33 percent “more ethical”) are each considered more ethical than the average politician by about one third of voters.

The poll also finds that more than a third of voters (37 percent) are “very” concerned scandals would disrupt a Hillary Clinton administration if she were to win. That’s about twice as many as feel that way if a Republican were to win the White House (19 percent).

Still, more than half are at least somewhat worried scandals would have a “serious effect” on either a Clinton (61 percent) or a Republican administration (51 percent).

Just over half of voters are following news about the Clinton Foundation accepting financial donations from foreign governments while Clinton was secretary of state. Among only those following the news, 74 percent are worried about scandals if Clinton wins.

Overall, a 57 percent majority says it is likely Clinton was influenced by foreign contributors while she was at the State Department.

Huckster's scam is he is the ‘morality’ candidate.

He threatens to leave the GOP over gay marriage then a few weeks late he announces his GOP candidate run. What a phony.

I posted here “Leave Huckster! Who gives a crap?”

Those old biddies who watched his FNC show?

"Seriously, any conservative claiming to support Huck should ‘splain why......"

I haven't decided who I'm supporting this go round, but I don't like seeing any candidate unfairly attacked. The out of date fat picture is an unfair attack.

I vote social conservatism more than fiscal conservatism, believing that if we honor God with our laws and actions, that God will give us fiscal wisdom. And that if we fail to honor God with our laws and actions, then no amount of human fiscal wisdom will save us.

Huckabee is against abortion.

Huckabee is for putting the ten commandments in schools.

Huckabee is for energy independence.

Huckabee is pro gun.

In 2008 Huckabee was the first candidate to sign the No Amnesty pledge. In 2008, there was a website that I frequently posted links to on FR. That site broke the immigration issues down into 20 or 30 different sub categories. In totality, Huckabee was the best candidate on enforcing current laws and reducing illegal immigration. But he was under constant attack here for letting illegals that could prove they had lived in Arkansas for the required number of years (4 or 5) to go to college on in-state tuition. Given scripture's command to Israel "do not oppress the foreigner among you", I can see why Huckabee acted as he did. Doesn't mean we have to let them in.

Huckabee has stated that homosexuality is sinful and that he is against gay-marriage and civil unions.

Huckabee is pro-Israel.

Huckabee has acknowledged that our trading agreements are unbalanced and are causing the US to lose jobs, though he is light on specifics to fix the problem. Most of the other candidates blindly chant free trade without acknowledging the problems that exist.

Hows that for a start? So maybe you need to 'splain why you are so adamantly against Huckabee and still call yourself a conservative?

Everything you like about Huckster is true of other candidates. Several of them.

FTR Huckabee is a big government liberal in many ways. Huckabee ran a wealth envy campaign against Hannity and Rush last time, then the idiot thought he could beat them at their own game. Huck has no private sector experience and is economically ignorant.

Huckabee is a shill for the establishment, supporting Thad Cochran and Linsdey Graham. Do you need anymore why NO TRUE CONSERVATIVE should support Huck.

Bump. Liberals love him (because of his Big Government socialism, and they know how easy he’ll be to beat) …

Sally Kohn: Why This Liberal Hearts Huckabee

TEN THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT MIKE HUCKABEE:

1. Soft-on-crime Governor who went on a pardon/commutation spree
2. Pro-instate-tuition for illegal aliens and other giveaways – poor record on immigration
3. Fiscal liberal Tax-and-spender as Governor
4. Dissembled about his record when challenged (pardons, taxes, ethics)
5. Not a conservative, hurt conservatives in Arkansas
6. Ethics issues, taking public money for private use
7. Flipflopper, on immigration, Cuba and other issues
8. An incompetent Jimmy Carteresque boob on foreign policy
9. Is a nanny-stater supporter of smoking bans and enviro-wacko CO2 caps
10. Fired the prosecutor who filed animal cruelty charges against his son David

We have a winner! Turd boy Rove will make sure the Huckster is handsomely rewarded $$$ wise for his efforts to split the conservative vote. It worked in 2008 and the GOPE is anything if not predictable, so why not try it again.

1) To get to Huckabee in the first place, a pardon has to be approved by the Parole board. So it’s not lie Huckabee unilaterally pardoned a bunch of people. In Arkansas, He didn’t have the power to do that if he wanted to.

2) Again, Huckabee was actually the best 2008 candidate on immigration and I think he was right on the in-state tuition.

3) He inherited a $200 million deficit and left Arkansas with a 850 million surplus.

1: take out unilaterally, and it makes very little difference.
2: what makes you think he was “best” in 2008, given his squishy performance on this issue as goobernor?
2B: and what does the 2008 field have to do with the 2016 field anyway?
3: And what did he do to make that happen? A damned thing? I doubt it. I doubt your or he can answer that question.

Also, please respond to Cochran issue and Graham issue.

FRed Thompson was the best candidate in 2008. Huckabee was a mere disruptor who allowed McQueeg to squeak to the nomination. Fred Thompson knows the Huckster ...

The direction Governor Huckabee would take us in … liberal economic policies … liberal foreign policies … taxpayer funded programs for illegals … that’s not the model of the Reagan coalition, that’s the model of the democratic party.

Endorsements is a dangerous practice. Very few candidates that endorse others have a perfect endorsement record.

Are those two endorsements troublesome? Yeah a little, but it’s not a deal breaker or a litmus test in my book. I’m more interested in candidate’s value system and their policies.

LOL Fred Thompson was the best????!!!!

I like Fred, he’s a fellow Tennessean. But Fred tossed the evangelical vote when he left gay marriage to the states and the federal courts. And Fred ran one of the most lackluster campaigns I’d ever seen. I’m not sure he was ever serious.

Dude, you have no situational awareness if the Cochran endorsement is a “little troublesome.” It’s preposterous. It’s a reward of evil and lying and race baiting. It’s sycophantic. anyone capable of supporting Cochran is not worth any respect.

There are some cardinal sins.....this is one for true conservatives.

FNC is trying to prop up their “can’t win” pal.

The media needs something to make the ratings up.

no ratings=no ads = no money.
