If a law was passed that banned all abortions except those done to abort when a woman is raped by her own father, and the developing baby in the womb was implanted incorrectly in the uterus threatening the physical life of the mother, demonstrably so with scientific evidence (ultrasounds showing dangerous hemorrhages and DNA tests proving the father of the woman was the father of her child and forensic evidence demonstrating he raped her)..
...all of which to occur would be less than 0.01ths of one percent of all rape/incest/health of the mother cases...
...even if such a law were passed that saves the lives of literally millions of babies a year...
...some would STILL not be satisfied and would call such a law “evil” because it doesn’t seek to save every baby.
Just sayin’. Also just askin: How many countless millions more must die before we get such a perfect law?
If anyone else can sleep soundly at night willing to sacrifice babies NOW until and unless some future dream occurs (a big IF in today’s “culture” to be sure) well then that’s on them. All I know is, I certainly can’t have that on my conscience.
All I know is, I can’t sleep with my conscience burdened with the fact that I’m not supporting laws that can save at least ONE baby. Because you know what, Mr Purist?

Your argument, if I understand it correctly, is to not allow the perfect to be the enemy of the good.
This “deal” isn’t even in the same universe as good. From a practical perspective the bill has gaping holes in it that the abortionists could drive a truck through. It’s feel good legislation that will acccomplish nothing except giving our erstwhile allies, if they can be called such, the opportunity to say “LOOK HERE! We did something to justify the resources we consume!”
I’ve said this before: infanticide will become illegal in the US precisely one month after the last clinic closes for lack of business. It will not be because caesar in his benevolence orders them closed. If caesar was going to act, he would have done so at some time in the last 42 years. It hasn’t happened, and it isn’t going to happen.
Even if to save that ONE life you have to surrender every principle that protects the equal God-given, UNALIENABLE right to life of the billion?
