That will teach them to honk at the policeman without his permission. A Hillsborough County Deputy Sheriff taught me a similar lesson a few years back. I remember it like it was yesterday.
This clown can soon take mail order anger management courses in the comfort of his cell in The Greybar Hotel.
Nothing will happen and they should probably consider moving.
What is the world coming to that a fine, upstanding law enforcement professional can’t pistol whip someone who honks at him in traffic without the “victim” whining to the media and making a criminal case out of it?
The lesson leaned here: never get out of your car “to explain” why you beeped at another driver. Especially if they are tailgating you.
Either call 911 or get to a nearby police station if possible.
One time, a couple of years ago, I was on my way home,
and I was coming through some heavy traffic,
and an officer was in the road, directing traffic.
As I approached, he suddenly stepped out right in front of me
and held up his hand in a “stop” motion.
I had to slam on brakes just to keep from hitting him.
My briefcase and lunch box fell off the seat and into the floor.
I hollered out the window at him:
“God forbid you couldn’t have waited 5 seconds for the next car.”
He had me pull over so that he could lecture me for about 10 minutes
about how important his job was, and how I should show more respect.
Some of the officers out there are just accidents waiting to happen.
Rather than performance enhancement drugs maybe a better name would be "overly angry and aggressive" drugs.
This country is really losing its way.
The important thing is the officer got to go home tonight safe...
Do I need a sarcasm tag ?
The part that chilled me was that the police that did come took this as no big deal because it was one of their guys that did it. They searched the other folks car!
It makes me less inclined to be sympathetic to their problems these days.
In the video the woman claims she honked because the driver of a black Dodge Ram was heading into her lane. That would suggest the Dodge Ram drive may have been intoxicated or on drugs. Did the police test the driver? No? Oops.
Whatever happened to all those badgelickers here that used to reliably chime in with “we need to hear both sides of the story”?
I recall a stupid off duty cop picking a fight with Michael Carbajal a number of years ago.
Didn’t work out well for the cop.
Elderly lives matter!
