Obama after trade deal defeat: This is personal for me
The Washington Times ^ | May 13, 2015 | Stephen Dinan

Minutes after his former Democratic colleagues in the Senate filibustered his trade deal, President Obama sent a message to supporters declaring the fight was “personal for me” and pleading with liberals to rally around him.

The president has been working with congressional Republicans to try to win fast-track trade powers, which would allow him to more easily negotiate trade agreements such as the Trans Pacific Partnership deal with 11 nations that border the Pacific Ocean.

But Democrats, including dozens who served in the Senate when Mr. Obama was there, have balked at his efforts, questioning whether he has American workers’ interests in mind. On Tuesday, they rallied to filibuster the fast-track bill, derailing it.

That this is personal to him is all the more reason for it to be defeated permanently, or at least as long as he’s in office.

Jeff Sessions should be getting more help from other GOP Senators. Are they all bought off?

Sure seems like it to me.Republican Senator Jeff Sessions is the only one who opposed Obama on this and led the coalition to defeat this trade deal that would allow Obama to flood the USA with 3rd world immigrants.

This power would allow Obama to flood the USA with hundreds of millions of 3rd world immigrants:

My heart was heavy as I read that article. I’m saddened because I sense that our President is hurting very badly. Shame on everyone of those Democrats who abandoned him in an hour when he needed them the most. I mean, these are members of his own Party, his allies; and they turn on Dear Leader like that. It is despicable I tell you; despicable. Thank goodness he still has The Speaker and the Senate Majority Leader, and other Republicans, like Corker, Cornyn and Graham, standing with him, and loving him, through these dark times. They should just go ahead and give into him on Amnesty to make up for this...... It is just too grievous for me to write anymore.
