I don’t know how to tell the folks at The Daily Caller, but “proactive policing” disappeared from this area a long time ago. Deputies here would not be caught stopping to say “Good Day” to a lowly civilian.

I don’t know how to tell the folks at The Daily Caller, but “proactive policing” disappeared from this area a long time ago. Yep... here too. Police mostly do two things. File reports when you've been robbed, and give revenue generating traffic tickets.
