I wonder if Jeb listens mostly to American music or Mexican music at home. Just a frame of mind question.

I’m not a Bush supporter, but I fail to see how his quote squares with the headline.

they need to be state-driven.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Here's a novel idea! PARENT driven!
Yeah! I am shouting, jumping up and down, and having a fit!
What is needed is complete separation of SCHOOL and state.
Jeb Bush, pelisse go AWAY!

Holy. Mackerel.
“The federal government should play no role in this either in the creation of standards, content, or curriculum
”
So... this is a bit like saying, “We need the IRS, because the feds have no business being involved in revenue management...”
Is he seriously unaware of the fact that “Common Core” has been fed-driven from day-1? Billions of tax-payer dollars as “incentives” for adopting this disaster-area is “playing no role”?
Wow...

Hmmmm, well this is kinda interesting...
Not that I trust him at all, ...
Common Core means a lot of things to different people, so they could be right, based on whats in front of them
but the simple fact is we need higher standards; they need to be state-driven. The federal government should play no role in this either in the creation of standards, content, or curriculum
So, if he really believes this, then he is saying that we can drop NEA, and all federal involvement in education, and that education powers are reserved for the states or the people therein. (10th amendment)
Good on him! Lets hold him to it!

I just called the Medved show. Told the screener I was a Scott Walker supporter, but I would vote for any of the other candidates EXCEPT Bush. He thanked me and said they were looking for callers with the opposite view and hung up. LOL
