This chart tracks police killings over the last 16 months. Seems the liberal parts of the country are busier at killing police than the rest of the country for the most part.
BFLter
Is this for police that are killed, or police that are involved in killing someone?
Looks like killed by (killed by police.net)
Police killing individuals. At least one can see where the majority of bad people live.
Thought so.....if it was cops killed, then looking at the last graph, the entire state of Texas, California and some others lost all their cops. :0)
I wonder how many are illegal aliens.
No shocker here. More are killed where the population is more dense.
Here is what you can say. Don’t fall in the media trap. Remember this is the same media that says the Veterans are the biggest threat to the country. When nothing could be further from the truth.
The media is simply trying to stereo type all cops. Most cops are good guys, but yes there are some bad apples. You can say that about any group of people.
If you look at FBI crime states it was far more violent 20, than 30, 40 years ago than it is today.
Although if you watch the media, then you would think it’s far worst today than ever before. That’s simply not true.
The BIG difference today is that we are able to capture it on video and post it compared to the past.
Anyway do not let the media fool you to think cops are bad guys.
This is an example of crappy statistics. It does not take into account the population of the state. A better format would be some type of per capita number. And I am not trying to deride the police. 99.9% of the individuals shot by the police deserve it and the police were fully justified in doing so. It is just the frigging media will blow something all out of proportion and cause the chaos.
On the other hand, my take away from it is the thought "well, there's some criminals who won't be doing that again."
I certainly wouldn't think that the chart by itself stands as evidence where some group might try to legitimately infer some meaning based on their goals and motives.....
And the big cause of that difference, CONCEALED CARRY. Most criminals are cowards. They will not go into an environment where the good guys have guns. Or the violence occurs in the gang wars where a lot of these are just not entered into the official statistics.
Here is another website you should see called...
“Officer Down Memorial Page”
Web site http://www.odmp.org/ or facebook page https://www.facebook.com/OfficerDown?fref=ts&ref=br_tf
They list all Officers that have died. So far this year 44 Officers have died. They have a wonderful and very informative website.
I have no patience for people who diss our men and women in blue. Most are wonderful people who are there for us. They are underpaid and risk their lives daily to help keep the peace and protect us.
Then why does police spending continue to dramatically grow? Why are departments not reduced in size and scope?
Maybe crime is down because policing (quantified by spending) is up.
I want to see the map of black men killing black men...
Liberals should be pleased to see Darwinism in action.
Stupid people suiciding...

So you're suggesting as crime continues to decline, we should continue to increase government police spending?
No, I’m saying it’s possible that increased police presence has reduced crime.
“Violence” doesn’t happen in a vacuum. Criminals are considering the likelihood that it will go badly for them. More policing can increase the risk of bad outcomes for criminals.
Therefore, it is possible that reduced “violence” is the actual outcome of more spending on police forces.
