I don’t disagree with your post but just noting that there are many double-action semi’s that you don’t have to keep cocked and locked.

I understand but DA/SA semi's are relatively rare these days in the larger market...and still requires a chambered round.

If I were to carry a semi I would probably carry a single action semi cocked and locked.

As always...people should carry what they like and are familiar with.

Actually a k-frame like that one (a model 19?) would be pretty mild loaded with .38 +p's, much more so than a 642 or similar .38 snubby, because of the increased mass of the gun.

The best handgun I ever owned was a model 65, round butt with a 3" bull barrel. It was perfect for me, I could actually hit stuff with it and it was reasonable to carry. My wife liked it too.

Update: Little ms. keat obtained Colorado residency and D/L this morning. Only took 35 minutes.

Sorry for the late response.

I’m pretty sure for ATF’s purposes you can only be a resident of one state. I’d recommend checking with a gun shop owner.
