Geraldo Trashes Pamela Geller: ‘Every Time I See Her on TV, I Want to Take a Shower’

Fox & Friends had Geraldo Rivera on the show Friday morning to discuss Pamela Geller and the shooting incident outside her “Draw Muhammad” contest. As you might expect, given his recent comments, Rivera had a plethora of harsh things to say about the anti-Islam activist.

“She most reminds me of the Aryan Nation, KKK, racists,” he said. “I see them on television now and I feel like taking a shower.”

Tell us how you really feel.

“If Pamela Geller, if you put ‘Jew’ in there or ‘Irish’ in there or ‘black’ in there, any other groups, she would not be given the tolerance to spew her hateful rhetoric,” he continued. Naturally, the Fox & Friends hosts disagreed, trotting out the argument that, of course, such speech never justifies being targeted with violence.

He’s a disgusting piece of dung! He does know she’s Jewish, doesn’t he? It didn’t sound like it. What tolerance? Coming from who/where? As far as I’ve seen, Hannity is the only one who is coming to her defense and taking on the haters. He said the same thing about her; “feel like taking a shower” that he said about the Skinheads etc. I guess someone should tell him that we don’t only feel like taking a shower after seeing/hearing him but that we actually do it!!!

Someone sent me an email and said that Martha McCallum said we should respect Islam! Is she kidding? I didn’t see it and I can’t find any video of it. I guess it was from this morning’s show? That’s disgusting also!!!

Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer's efforts to caricature Islamic doctrine is no different than the efforts during WWII by

• Walt Disney

  and

• Warner Brothers

  and

• MGM movie studios.

  and

• Charlie Chaplins 1940 "The Great Dictator"

  as well as many other caricatured depictions. The doctrines of Nazism, Shintoism, Communism were routinely and critically caricatured and either defeated or kept at bay through these efforts.

  Resolve to defeat any of the enemies of freedom was not tempered with concern whether ALL Germans were Nazis or ALL Japanese were Shinto warriors, or whether ALL Russians or Koreans were Communists.

  Americans were proudly taught to embrace their Constitutional guarantees against any doctrine which threatened to infringe on those rights and proudly warred against those who would defend anti-freedom doctrines.

  It is because caricatures break the language/literacy barrier that Islam feels so threatened. Modern technology assists in proliferating these images like never before, providing those whose literacy is impaired by the restrictions of Islam an advantage to discover the hostile depths of that imposed doctrine.

  Americans understood, valued and made good use of their constitutional rights to free expression in the recent past, even when it was insulting to the doctrine or the followers of said criticized doctrines. It's well past time to make use of these weapons to defend our rightful heritage.
