Weak fluorescent lights cast a sickly pall through the cheap motel room on Harbor Boulevard, where one undercover police officer shimmied into skin-tight leggings and another into stiletto heels.
Both beds in room 320 were shoved against a wall to accommodate another dozen police officers, prosecutors and news types assembled for the sting. Requisite jokes were cracked about the quilted bedspreads – sit at your own risk – but a pair of heavy handcuffs on the desk belied any frivolity.
Out on Harbor, an undercover Santa Ana police officer strutted in cheetah print and bed slippers. A fluorescent pink-orange brassiere peeked out of the top of her shirt.
A man in a white SUV popped a U-turn to get a better look. His passenger window lowered, and he inquired as to the cost of services. As the officer approached the window to haggle, her heart dropped: In the back seat were two children – about 2 and 5 years old – strapped into car seats.
He wanted her to service him right there, in the SUV. With the kids present.

Geez. First it was a never-ending thing about getting car seats for the kids, and now they DON’T want them in the car seats. I wish they would make up their minds!
So, Mom’s working nights cleaning office buildings; yet Dad has money to pi$$ away on hookers.

Well, the short answer is, that sexual activity and sexual stimulation are extremely gratifying. And that men have these desires for such activity whether they have a wife or girlfriend or not. Many men can engage in such activity without cares for a relationship component, whereas most women wouldn’t get involved in such acts without being in a relationship situation with a man.
Giving Mom the clap would be a real game-changer.
Why would someone buy a red convertable?
There are as many reasons why Johns do what they do as there are reasons someone winds up buying a particular car.
Same with the prostitutes.
Some things have an irreducible complexity which causes quick fix plans to fail.
There’s just not enough crime — we need government “sting” operations to create more.
Good old Harbor Blvd, the place to pick up hookers. I used to see them all the time.
That boggles my mind.
If I had ever done something like that I am confident that my children would have been well provided for by my life insurance policy.
I am reminded of the immortal words of Congressman Dick Armey, when asked by a reporter during the Monica Lewinsky scandal what he would do in Clinton's position, he responded "If I were, I would be looking up from a pool of blood and hearing my wife say 'How do I reload this thing?'"

The sting occurred because the crime level was high and the citizenry who actually live there (as opposed to you and I pecking away on computers) had enough and demanded this be cleaned up.
Nothing like having to pick up used rubbers from your yard before your kids can come out and play.

Oh come on, we all know this was a set up. He was just wanting to interview her looking for a new nanny for the kids.
Harbor Island is not a residential area. I’m surprised that the Boulevard has gotten so low.
