That occurred to me too. We outsourced the renovation of the bridge to China. Why did we do that? And did we sacrifice quality of construction in doing so???
To: MeshugeMikey
ok but does anyone give a shi’ite about a bridge to Oakland?

It ought to come out of the assists and all future income of Willie Brown, Gray Davis, Arnold Schwartzenrenegger and Jerry Brown. Notice how that list starts and ends with "brown" stuff!!!
Did I overlook any of those responsible for the prime foolishness of this BROWN FOLLY???

WE!? I don’t recall being involved in the decision to outsource to China anything.

The bid started bridge started at $2Bil...now $6.4Bil...outsourcing the material to China was to save $400 Mil...lol....but..it is/was a American company that failed to install some of the material properly.

Not surprising. There have been lots of instances where Chinese steel has been found to be defective.
