Your comment seems to presuppose an Army (working in tandem with the Air Force) that are like, say the Army and Air Force of WW2. With the high tech weaponry of today, though greatly outnumbered by armed civilians, they probably believe they will prevail.
OK, let me explain for the math challenged. All the technology in the world cannot make a soldier be in more then one place at a time. At any given moment one soldier is sleeping, one is maintaining/training and one is actually on patrol. Plus support troops. So lets say you wan to occupy Baltimore. You need to figure how many troops to maintain martial law, this is WITHOUT an insurgency, then multiply by a factor of three. So lets say you figure 10,000 troops. That works out to 30,000 just for one city! The standing Army is approximately 1/2 million. It’s not enough by a long shot EVEN with technology as a force multiplier.
we have a govt class now that lives for their pensions...especially the military..
if they tell the military personal that to show "diversity" they would change to rainbow colored shirts and ball caps, or else, they would wear the rainbow colored shirts and ball caps...
its worse among the officers...
