The foul-mouthed women of Fox News were a disquieting element of doing his weekly show for the conservative cable TV network, ex-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee told an Iowa radio interviewer. Huckabee is back courting the Hawkeye State — he won Iowa’s 2008 precinct caucuses — in preparing his second bid for the White House. The religious right champion quit his weekly show on Fox News to get ready for the 2016 Republican race.
A Baptist preacher, Huckabee confessed to culture shock when doing his show in New York. “In the South, or in the Midwest, there in Iowa, you would not have people who would just throw the F-bomb or use gratuitous profanity in a professional setting,” Huckabee told Des Moines radio host Jan Michelson on “Michelson in the Morning.” “In New York, not only do men do it, but the women. My gosh, this is worse than locker-room talk. As we would say in the South, that’s just trashy.”
The avuncular Huckabee is coming across these days as a cultural warrior, particularly in his new book “God, Guns, Grits and Gravy.”
Fox News boss Roger Ailes is famously potty-mouthed, even when he was then-Vice President George H.W. Bush on his television presence. Huckabee has long contrasted alleged values of the heartland with the culture and mores of America’s cities on the East and West Coasts.

Yeah, this is why he is arsenic to the Republican party. I stopped watching Kelly after she insulted and offended the coot but notice Cruz makes positive references to almost every demographic and would never say something as STUPID as that “slaves to their libido” remark.
As heartbreaking as it is, women make up a nice chunk of that independent vote we need and they will be turned off to now end by this character.
You don’t have to surrender your principles to reach an audience. You just have to be bright enough to do it in the right way. Cruz is. Huck isn’t.
But he was happy to take their money.
Huckafeller is just another Establishment “progressive” with no fixed principles.
I’d rather have foul mouthed talking heads than a governor that pardons murderers.

I guess it’s now a law of American politics that anything that any silly thing a candidate says that loses him votes in one part of the electorate wins the candidate votes from another part of the voting public — that every “gaffe” will win you somebody’s vote (or every true thing you say that wins you votes somewhere loses you them somewhere else).
And this will work against Huckabee.
Clemmons and DuMond, murderers both before the pardon and after.
If this is true Huck has a big sexist target on his back. I’m not at all a fan of foul language but making any kind of distinction between men and women using it shows poor political judgment.

I think Huckabee starts at a big disadvantage, and won’t win over ANYONE by bad-mouthing the Fox News babes.
Very, very bad strategy.
