The 16 year old student deserved a poor grade. I read her papers. As a former historian myself, I can only say that she has no understanding of history - I mean the student - and is little more than an anti-Catholic bigot.
Ditto for me when I attended Drexel Institute on the GI bill in the early sixties. My industry coordinator told me veterans should not be welcome at the school...made things difficult for me ...downgraded my industry reports...gave me crappy industry assignments.....threatened to get me expelled if I didn't quit pointing at him during consults. I teach middle / high school-age Sunday School students. We’ve been discussing life away from home and church (walking the tightrope without a net) for several weeks.
Kids gotta invite God to go with them wherever they go.
In some areas you can do 1/2 day school 1/2 day college if you are 16 or over.
I don’t know her, but you have to respect a kid that will stand up to a jerk like this ‘professor’.
Sick little totalitarians.
She should sue the school for failure to deliver the promised services that were paid for, namely a fair grade for a fair effort.

Tenure had a place in a different American. Today the types of people teaching college don't deserve tenure anymore than a fry cook at McDonalds 'deserves' tenure...

I guess I lucked out. Philosophy was my major and 2 of my professors were WWII vets.
