In yet another sign of evolving attitudes toward gender identity, venerable Smith College will begin admitting transgender women.
Its board of trustees voted Saturday to clarify Smith's admission policy, said college President Kathleen McCartney in an announcement on Smith's website. The new policy will pertain to students applying in fall 2015 and thereafter who identify as women, even if they were born male.
"The board's decision affirms Smith's unwavering mission and identity as a women's college, our commitment to representing the diversity of women's lived experiences, and the college's exceptional role in the advancement of women worldwide," said the announcement by McCartney and board of trustees chair Elizabeth Mugar Eveillard.
Students who were born female but who now identify as male are not eligible for admission, the college said.

Smith joins a growing list of women's colleges in the United States that have recently updated their admission policies to include transgender women. The first, in August, was Mills College in Oakland, California, followed by Mount Holyoke, Simmons, Bryn Mawr and Wellesley. SNIP

That should be a lawsuit.
I don't think they really thought it through. They have female students who identify as male, and I don't think they'd kick them out, but they've painted themselves into a corner. Trying to conform to trans ideology when it comes to male to females, they figured they had to apply the same principle to female to males.
And is it safe to assume garden variety lesbians are OK to attend?

Its not a like a guy is going to chop off his junk just to see girls in the shower. And...having worked at Smith, I can attest...you would not want to see them in a shower.
This is no big deal.
And here is a clue: The folks at Smith were not doing DNA tests before this.

Well, if you are PRE-transgender, where you are thinking that you're a woman but haven't done anything about it yet because you have Massive Indecision Complex (like Bruce Jenner, it took him what, 30 years to decide), then it seems that you're OK. Just so long as you lie on your back while doing it with some hot chick (OK, so your a Pre-Transgender LESBIAN). It sounds logical, doesn't it?

So if a guy is just willing to cross-dress he now can apply at all-women schools.
