....there was something called a PreparAthon held by FEMA (http://www.community.fema.gov/connect.ti/cfghome/grouphome) on April 30th. Supposedly the nationwide drills are for – get this – the catastrophic consequences of global warming.

From zerohedge
http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-05-02/secret-mountain-our-spies-will-hide-when-washington-destroyed

But job descriptions, contracting documents, insider resumes, and furtive discussions with Washington sources reveal that this little-known “activity” is a $100-million-a-year disaster playpen.

What follows are some intriguing photos of Peters Mountain. This is property owned by AT&T, but it is government land. Oh, so many questions there....

More gummint, more bunkers. I’d take the Greenbrier myself.

AT&T = “communications infrastructure”, not the cellph9ne company.

it’s undergone a $61 million plus renovation since 2007.

The way the government spends money this would have hardly funded a bathroom renovation.

AT&T gas a number of these sites scattered about. Out in the sticks, on a hill top with a big parking lot and an entrance leading underground. Also some specialized antennas on the property.

Even if you know where they are, they are difficult to spot on a sat pic, as they are so low key.

They are not secret as the locals all know about them, and many were employed building them. One I have seen was called “the hole” by the locals.

My understanding is they are hardened communications sites,

When the Washington Post exposed the Greenbriar installation, the government moved it to a secret location. Now we know where it is.

Bell Laboratories had been working on EMP hardened communications networks decades ago during the Cold War.

Maybe they can make the Congressional hidey-hole mobile like the MX missile was originally planned to be. Set up a hundred RVs (along with a few thousand decoys) driving around a Mad Max style post-apocalyptic highway trying to maintain control of government.

Just for the record, Zero Hedge has zero credibility with me. Zero Hedge’s Daniel Ivanjiiski aka Tyler Durden and his father Krasimir Ivanjiiski are a part of Putin’s hybrid war against the West.

Yes, and the Feds would not tell local inspectors or the tax office squat much less “oh by the way we spent $61,000,000 for you to tax us on”.

I think AT & T wants to be able to function after an EMP attack.

...what the feds fear the most is rebellion by the bitter-clingers an EMP attack or a massive cyber attack.

Corrected to be reality-based.

.

“Iran should be regarded as already having nuclear missiles capable of making an EMP attack against the U.S.,” noting, “Iran and North Korea have successfully orbited satellites on South-Polar trajectories that appear to practice evading U.S. missile defenses, and at optimum altitudes to make a surprise EMP attack.”

So, consider this… if the military fears an EMP from Iran (or Russia or China) and is prepping like he77 for it, why is our President striking deals with them? That’s treasonous in my book.

These same leaders who make fun of bloggers warning on the power grid and its vulnerabilities and preppers who preach preparedness, are the same leaders who won’t harden the electric grid and take it off the Internet where it is vulnerable, while prepping bunkers where they can run to when it all goes south.

Thanks, Whenifhow. We already know why 0 and valjar are striking deals; they want complete destruction of the USA.

Something like that crossed my mind, as well.

Good to know. The $61 million dollar figure raised a red flag for me ... my gut tells me the story is a diversion from something else going on that's more serious.

From the article:

what the military wants and what 0 want might be two different things!
