The “knife laws” are so vague that now they’re being used against the police. Report says he was arrested without incident, but suffered a medical emergency during transport. The whole thing smells bad of persecution of police/city. The socialists are circling like flies and buzzards.

But we’re in a minority on FB! So many here are scary in their condemnation of these cops. One called this 25 year old felon “a child.”

Agree with everything you said, but listen to Mosby statement.

Some of *those* additional facts she mentions could only have come from the arresting officers.

http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/prosecutor-probable-cause-believe-freddie-grays-death-homicide_935631.html

On just that basis (what info came from the arresting officers themselves), I conclude 2 things:

1) the arresting cops had no probable cause (although I understand that, after chasing him down for no reason other than that he ran upon making eye contact with cops, that the cops could have made an honest mistake in thinking his knife was illegal)

2) Gray verbalized enough info-—at least 2 times that he couldn’t breathe-—to warrant medical help.

In the eyes of the law, my very non-expert opinion is that the cops are guilty of something-—exactly what those charges would be, I don’t know enough about the law to articulate specifically.

Then there is the matter of Gray’s death.

I have seen no evidence that the cops physically abused Gray-—none whatsoever.

Gray died a WEEK after his arrest-—after he had surgery.

When did he first get medical attention?
What were his injuries?
What condition necessitated Gray’s surgery?
What prior conditions did he have?

One more point: Mosby mentioned the seatbelts (the lack of harnessing Gray) FIVE or SIX times in her presser.

That leads me to think that establishing the nexus between Gray’s arrest and his death being due to a willful crime committed by the police is by far the weakest part of her case;

I.E., I doubt she can even prove that failure to restrain him in a seatbelt caused his death.

Many of the medical questions will never be revealed until trial.

And THAT is the rub! America, Baltimore residents, the professional agitators, and the obama adm is left to speculate as wildly as they can imagine as to what happened that led to Gray’s death and who is guilty of what.

That fact alone is enough for all the obama minions to agitate for whatever new edicts obama can get away with in his totalitarian march, and in just this one venue to that end, the goal seems to be a Federalized Police Force....for the good of the abused minorities, doncha know.

Final comment: Almost could guarantee that Mosby’s presser was written by the DOJ. It’s worth a listen - 15 min- at the link above.
