A Colorado heating and cooling company was caught refusing to do business in a Denver neighborhood because residents there are "colored people" and "they don't pay their bills," according to an undercover investigation by Fox affiliate KDVR.

Knowing Denver and Montbello, I can understand why Mile High doesn’t go there. It is a blight on Denver. Looks and acts like a third world country.
It’s similar to the ‘food desert’ phenomenon. Grocery stores stock what their customers buy; they do not omit fresh produce because of their race.

I think a pre-pay policy of 50% up-front should do the trick city-wide.
If Clarence Thomas, Walter Williams, Condi Rice or Allen West lived in Denver they would probably live in a nicer part of town, like Cherry Creek or something. This guy said specifically that it was a certain neighborhood he didn’t service. Down by MLK avenue, I’m assuming.
Just do a credit check on the customers and have it payable immediately, unless special credit arrangements are made before any work starts. Treat everyone the same ... :-) ...
No credit check needed if they pay the estimate up front PRIOR to the beginning of work.
That said, the neighborhood is gang-infested and very rough. The guy is behind the times. Montbello now has more Hispanics than blacks.

Did the article say how he goes about making sure he isn’t screwing any of our vets. Oor doesn’t that matter to anyone. I guess as long as the right “coloreds” are hurt, it doesn’t matter to some folks.
