Antelope Valley deputies Must Limit Backseat Detentions, Be Polite By CINDY CHANG
L.A. County sheriff's deputies in Antelope Valley must be polite, limit backseat detentions under federal deal A federal settlement made public Tuesday night prohibits Antelope Valley sheriff's deputies from routinely detaining people in the backseat of patrol cars and requires them to start most encounters by politely introducing themselves.

Two cops pinned down behind their squad car. Man in the convenience store holding rifle, the big plate glass window has been broken out already.
“You pigs are going to die today!”
“Please, sir, try to be reasonable!”
“I am finished being reasonable!” he says,
BLAM! side windows on the cruiser are all shot out
“Today is Armageddon!”
“Please, Sir, think of the puppies!”
BLAM! rear tire is shot out
“What would your mother think about this, sir”
The man laughs “My mother thought Hitler was a wimp and Stalin was an underachiever”
BLAM! front tire down, hood partially opens
“Sir, are you doing this because of white privilege...”
BLAM!
“Sir, please, is this because right-wing fundamentalists don’t want you marrying your boyfriend...”
BLAM, trunk opens, BLAM roof siren-lights shot off, BLAM!
“Aren’t you going to stop me...”
“We aren’t allowed to until the Sargent-Mother shows up...”
I live in a rural area near the AV. We’re all heavily armed. These new rules will make us more so.
