Looks like their wages just got cut to zero.

Gee, who didn’t see this coming?

What's the problem? Raise your prices. If a couple bucks more cost per hour is going to close your business, then you shouldn't be open in the first place...

Funny thing, I've heard the exact argument above, then the same person griping about how prices are going up.

Liberals imagine everything is done with someone else’s dollar. They missed the fact that we ran out of other people's money a very long time ago.

It turns out the REAL minimum wage is $0.00.

Question #1. Did She Vote for the Politicians who came up with this fiasco?

If so, too bad, Her dream of Liberal Utopia has arrived.
If not, welcome to Fundamental Change.

Question #2. Did any of Her Loyal Employees Vote for the Politicians who came up with this fiasco?

If so, screw them. They deserve what they Voted for.
If not, remind them of what Fundamental Change really means.

The controversy about min wage has reached my hometown of La Crosse Wis and was on the local news today. One local drive-in restaurant worker talked about how she made $12 an hour and was happy to make it. The owner explained that to get good workers, he had to pay more than min wage.

But what shocked me was they then interviewed a local college econ. prof who said that artificial min. wage laws are counter-productive. I about fell out of my chair. Many college econ profs. are hardcore libs. And this guy looked fairly young. I hope he has a lot of students in his classes.

They are going on welfare food stamps etc and one day will be, if they are not now, good little democrat voters. They will be the slaves of their government. Wonder how the pizza shop owner votes? Ms. Burnham, if you are not a Marxist voter, find a state that values business and relocate there. If you are a Marxist voter then please stay where you are and enjoy the fruits of your voting.

Tell you what, Sparky, you tell me how you’ve voted at the state and local level and then we’ll see if I can gin up any sympathy for you.

My hunch tells me this person is all supportive of the Marxist agenda until reality smacked her/him upside the head, and now it’s all over except for feeling sorry about the future employment of your now former employees.

The best pizza in Seattle is Zeek’s Pizza with about eight locations in the area.
http://zeekspizza.com/

I used to think pizza was just pizza, but after eating theirs I’m a pizza snob. I’ve heard there is a pizza joint in Everett that’s supposed to be even better.

We reached out to 15 Now Seattle, the organization that pushed for the higher minimum wage. Director Jess Spear hadn’t heard about Z Pizza’s decision to close. So she wouldn’t comment specifically on that, only saying: “Restaurants open and close all the time, for various reasons.”

Thank you, Miss Congeniality. Hope you have room for 12 supper guests. They'll be hungry and maybe a little cranky...

She should have just re-run the one-size-fits-all explanation of the current Democrat candidate:

"I can't be responsible for every under-capitalized small business in America!"

You know, if I had the $$ and she could prove she was not a liberal, I’d front her the $$ to cover operations for 90 days on the condition she raise her prices commensurate with her increased labor costs JUST to demonstrate what liberals/Seattlites are: Raving hypocrites.

I’d lay dollars to donuts she’d have to fold anyway, but what a statement it would make.

hint/hint

Pizza dough is already being shipped frozen to shops. It’s only a matter of time before machines are making/baking/cutting/packaging nearly all pizzas and likely most fast food...

I can’t eat the crap anyway. Worse, most chain restaurants’ entire menus come out of the freezer or a container...all junk.

Quality food typically comes out of small shops or food carts these days, sometimes at a premium price, sometimes not. Hard work and long hours for those folks...tip ‘em well...

I wonder how Seattle is seeing what is going on to small businesses? Thank you, Seattle...

Next I expect the Seattle socialists take her and other business owners to court to force them to keep their business open and fine them if they dismiss even one employee. Own your own business, not in Seattlegrad!
