The Queen's Army of Rhodesia was NOT a
"white supremacist regime", it was the recognized military of Rhodesia.
That would mean Mr. Holloway was not a mercenary, he was an enlisted trooper.
BTW, it was an integrated military organization.

The article had said regime, not the military.
I had friends who served in Rhodesia, and served under a Lieutenant that had served there, although I don’t know how he got his clearance, since mercenary work was illegal.
There were quite a few Americans serving in Rhodesia and South Africa, and other parts of Africa, and of course Latin America.
The late 1970s and the 1980s were big years for that stuff.
