My father was a C-47 pilot in WW2. Among the many incredible pictures he took was one of Benito’s and Clara’s bodies hanging in the square.

Not at all more interesting. You don't see that, step-by-step, Obama's policies are so very similar to the storm of fascism unleashed by Mussolini?
Fascism continually provoked national violence in Italty--that's it's nature and practice.
Obama is doing nothing to stop national violence.
It's my hope that many FREEPERS will stop consulting the music and entertainment industries for the limits of their knowledge of history and current events.
I personally don't want to see the president of the United States and his woman hung by their heels from the roof of an Esso station. But historical lines seem to be converging.

... hanging in the square.
I thought he/they were hung upside down at a gas station, and passersby took the opportunity to relieve themselves on him.

It took a massive invasion of Europe on three fronts to defeat fascism.
It won’t end here like it did there..................

A little known fact here. See Wikipedia. Mussolini tried to destroy the Sicilian Mafia. In 1924 he appointed a prosecutor and imprisoned over 11,000 of suspected organized criminals. With the demise of Mussolini, back came the Mafia.
I remember a British MP at the time, saying that it was wrong to summarily execute Mussolini. That he should have been brought to trial. He was shouted down. The actions of any mob, in this case the Italian communists, are often horrific. Mussolini's mistress, had not committed any crime.Still, the old adage "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" holds good.
We see today the actions of a mob to exact "justice". It is not pretty.
