With the violence sweeping Baltimore threatening to scare away tourists and the city's huge convention industry, officials are working overtime to build in new security around the downtown convention center and promising to keep people safe.

Seems to me that the police unions have sold their cops out.
The police in NYC should have demanded that DeBlasio step down, and the same holds true in Baltimore.

My company was to be at a convention there this weekend. We paid for our booth and all. I don’t know if the convention is still on, but my company decided not to go.

I remember connecting at Baltimore airport, almost missed the connection and begged the guy to open the pathway door.
I said there is no way I wanted to spend a night in Baltimore, he said he lived there and agreed, opened the door and I got on the plane.
