April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. It gets a fair amount of attention in the U.S. military, in which thousands of assaults are reported annually and the Pentagon has acknowledged cultural problems that need to be addressed.
One place where the military is addressing the issue is college campuses, where Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) organizations train students before they earn a commission and become new officers. That has led to this:
Cadets and cadre put on their favorite pair of high heels and marched in Temples Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event to raise awareness of sexual assault against women. #TUWAM15
An anonymous post on Reddit alleged that cadets there were required to participate, and would get a negative mark for not supporting the sharp mission, an Army acronym for the Armys Sexual Harrassment/Assault Response & Prevention program.

Over.
Ok. I’m a combat veteran. A girl
Here’s how to avoid getting assaulted in that way in any setting combat deployment 300 to 1 (boy girl) or anywhere else. It comes from both my 80 year old great aunt New Yorker, my 17 year old niece and my brother in law and my own common sense
Don’t go out drinking and NOT with a bunch of guys
Oh. Our friend a four year marine said the same thing. Said 100% of sexual assaults happen under those circumstances,
Just duh
Somebody needs to be fired.
when Chelsey Manning gets his taxpayer funded ‘conversion’, he’ll get more interviews than Bruce Jenner.
Obama will then make him Sec of Defense.
Ugh. Whatever happened to private decisions?
If Bradley or Bruce want to become Barbara and Betty, fine. But do it privately so the rest of us don’t have to see it.
The fact that the Army has to “review” this shameful episode tells me all I need to know about how corrupted the DoD has become with PC...
Government sponsoring directly a polygamist gay cult
A military is only as good (or as bad) as its leader...if Obama went out in heels one day, I wouldn’t be shocked.
I thought military organizations had rules on what could be worn with a uniform, down to what color socks and what type t-shirt. Who gave this order, or do cadets just dress as they please?
Who is going to beheld accountable for pushing a social engineering agenda and making amockery of the uniform? Who is going to take the hit for violating AR 670-1? I don’t even recognize the US Army anymore. Frikkin’ Pathetic.
Does anyone see the irony here? Bringing attention to sexual assault by being made to wear high heels!
I was in the Army, ‘69-’70. Senior NCOs and officers were made to dress like women to be in funny skits for training purposes. They didn’t like it back then. When will the military ever learn?
The response has been one big lie and coverup. The General wants the lower grades to take the fall for him.
Good Lord!
Screw that...I might break an ankle or chip a nail....
I miss the America of the recent past.
