Baltimore police say one of the fire department's hoses has been cut by rioters as firefighters are attempting to put out the fire at the CVS store.
6:35 p.m.
President Barack Obama has spoken with Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake about the ongoing rioting situation in Baltimore. President will "provide assistance as needed."
6:32 p.m.
Firefighters are responding to a CVS store on Pennsylvania Avenue and North Avenue after smoke is seen coming from inside the store. It is the same store looting was seen earlier in the day.

Attorney: Freddie Gray's family "in shock" watching the violence in Baltimore and are urging calm.

After consulting with police, the Baltimore Orioles have postponed their game against the Chicago White Sox scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Monday.

This could make Ferguson look like a kindergarten playground. Baltimore is home to miles upon square miles of the worst decaying ghetto sprawl one has ever seen .... Drove through in daylight once and feared for my life.
The Gov seems to be a bit slow on the draw.

The Mayor’s “enlightened” approach to avoid the “Ferguson mistake” of agitating the rioters by having officers in riot gear left them in a situation where they had to beat a hasty retreat to the station to get geared-up when the rock throwing started. And... strangely enough... the rioters agitated themselves anyway.

Me too, Baltimore is just a bigger Ferguson. Maybe Starbucks will build in Baltimore too. For me sympathy is just a word between $hit and Syphilis in the dictionary.
Throwing full size cobble stones at police should be met with return fire. That’s attempted murder.
I think it is easy to determine where violent action is taking place, fly the helicopter a few feet over the buildings and notify people deadly force will be used in this area, and then start shooting. If you want to be squishy, you could start live fire with rubber bullets.
Then again, I've been where police started shooting pepper balls and rubber bullets without any warning; I was standing three feet away from the cameraman who took a shot to his camera lens covering the DNC freakshow in Los Angeles in 2000.
since the governor is a Republican I kinda doubt Obama DOJ will have as much influence as it did on Missouri’s Dem governor who didn’t bring in the NG to help the police sto the looting.
