This is a stupid, misleading statement for anyone to make. Between January 2011 and March 2015, Wisconsin's unemployment rate declined from 7.60% to 4.60%. At every point during that period the state's unemployment rate was lower than the overall U.S. rate. Wisconsin "lagged" the rest of the U.S. in job creation because it simply didn't have the same margin for improvement that other states had over that same period of time.
The argument presented here is the equivalent of criticizing a student whose grade in a class improves from A to A+ ... because he "lagged" in improvement behind another student whose grade improved from an F to a D.
Great way to put it.
And the failing student’s improvement was due to having been forgiven most of his homework....
Plus, don’t forget that it is a cinch to show job growth when you drastically shrink the pool of job seekers as BO has done. So many people just gave up and took early retirement or disability.
