“Why the explosion of gender dysphoria cases now? “

I suspect two reasons. It’s fashionable, which implies at some point it will be unfashionable. (Of course, I thought this about tattoos and their prevalence has not declined.) The other...well, I asked a gay man about why another gay man was acting out so...uhm...extravagantly. He pranced a few steps (which was unusual for him) waved his hands over his head and in a falsetto voice sang out, “lookatmelookatmelookatme.”

So fashion and attention-getting. I’d be interested in other theories.

The left wants to corrupt these children, they believe the younger the better.

There must be a cause. Surely someone is doing research on this. It is crazy.

There's all that, plus there IS still the probability of very wisdespread hormonal disruption. One fourth of the baby formula in this country is soy-based, although soy is a known endocrine disruptor. Every major watershed on the North American continent is contaminated with xenoestrogens, much of it from birth control pills, hormone replacement, and other pharmaceutical contamination (LINK)

That leads to male fish and amphibians having egg proteins in their testicles. And what else? And who else? I guess we'll find out.

A recent FR thread on the subject of endocrine disruptors in the water. They can suppress normal sexual expression in fish, 2-3 generations after exposure.

Yet another study shows: Birth control is reducing the fish population for generations

And humans?

You're seeing it now.
