Aargh! Yes, the pronoun “they” is gender-neutral. It is also plural, not singular. Can she not grasp the difference between “one” and “more-than-one”? A rat can know this. A chicken can get the idea. Yet the majority of the public seems to be completely ignorant of the concept when it comes to using “they” or “them”.

It gets very confusing. I had to think a minute when I read “their sister, Kayla”, rather than “her sister, Kayla”. I can’t believe the press is going along with all of this nonsense when writing this stuff up.
I am guessing she wants to be a “they” because she’s both male and female? Plural pronoun for plural “identities”? I don’t know. I give up. I’m just glad I’ve more years behind me than ahead. Maranatha.
