ABC's Good Morning America, hosted by former Bill Clinton operative George Stephanopoulos, on Friday skipped any mention of the growing scandal involving foreign donations to the foundation of Bill and Hillary Clinton. Yet, the lengthy program found plenty of time for superficial topics.
GMA's hosts devoted 12 minutes and 35 seconds to the coming Avengers sequel. It should be noted that Disney owns Marvel Studios, the company releasing the film. Unsurprisingly, Disney also owns ABC. (An onscreen graphic briefly noted this. See below.)
The program allowed three minutes and seven seconds on when Britain's latest royal baby will be born. ABC producers flew reporter Sara Haines to London to cover the story. Other "news" items included a look at Bruce Jenner's transgender surgery.
Yet, there was no time for any mention of Stephanopoulos's old boss, Bill Clinton and the potential problems facing 2016 candidate Hillary Clinton. In contrast, CBS This Morning, a far more serious morning program, unloaded facts on viewers:
JULIANNA GOLDMAN: Former President Bill Clinton was paid $1.4 million by a Nigerian news media group to give two speeches there while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State. Schweitzer says the group's founder had close ties to the country's president. It also raises new questions about long time friend and major benefactor Canadian billionaire Frank Giustra, including the implication that Secretary Clinton supported the Colombia free trade agreement because it helped Giustra's business interest. In another example, the New York Times reported on a previously undisclosed donation of $2.35 million from the foundation to the owner of a Russian uranium mining company looking to operate in the U.S. That required approval by the State Department, among other agencies.
NBC's Today brought on an "ethics expert" from the Sunlight Foundation, an organization backed by liberal billionaire George Soros, to dismiss the Clinton scandal. However, unlike GMA, at least the show's journalists covered it.
On Thursday night, ABC's World News and the NBC Nightly News covered the story. The CBS Evening News did not.
They didn't do anything on Ted Cruz's college debate faux-pas?
I was SO looking forward to moar dirt on that...
She needs a moniker... how about Dirty Hillary?
Gimme 14-1 odds and ‘Alexandria’ for the Royal Baby name...and Bruce Jenner BLLLLEEEECH! Isn’t it too early to hype that before breakfast?
They can’t give any attention to the fact that Cruz hosted a forum in the home of a homosexual because the news media narrative is that a conservative has to go for a homosexual’s blood within seconds of finding out. And Cruz defied that stereotype.
If you are waiting for hard hitting news on GMA, you will be waiting a long time. First, it’s not type of a news program and second, they are as liberal as the day is long.
We haven’t had TV since ‘97. On our last trip to Seattle we stayed with a friend for four days. They had GMA on every morning and I’ve never been exposed to such irrelevant pap in my life. At the time, Taylor Swift was dropping by and I was flabbergasted by her marketing genius. That was one of my two takeaways. The second? America is mind bogglingly immature at the individual voter level.
And it became crystal clear why people like Obama get selected as president and people like Hillary can even have a chance - and why we are doomed and my tag line is more accurate than ever.
CBS this morning is in the tank as well. We actually laugh out loud at Nora, Charlie, and Gayle and how biased they are.
I just keep hoping that if I ignore the Bruce Jenner thing, it might go away...
Its the liberal philosophy, they know if they don’t report something, its like it never happened and that is what they are banking on
DRAT HIM for disrupting The Narrative...
They do it by LYING THROUGH OMISSION, as well as the usual sort of lying.
And this indulgence of immaturity is the consequence of Deficit Spending by the US FedGov in my opinion. We are living in an age of false prosperity which is the effect of a pumped up spending spree.
Have you ever seen this VERY entertaining video explaining it?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Li0no7O9zmE
The sad thing is I saw this video many times before I realized it’s not my kids that are the kid in the video. WE are the kid, and it’s time to balance accounts. Hence my tag line.
BTW, all the numbers in the video are the federal government’s numbers with a bunch of zeros removed. ;-)
I’m going to have to start posting Helen Thomas pictures to clean the eyeballs after seeing Jenner.
I have seen it. It works fine on patient rational people who understand finances, but it doesn't work on the 52% for among other reasons, It's too long, they don't understand finances, they aren't rational, and it won't get on television where they can see it.
Access to the mind of the Masses of @$$es can only be attained by Movies, Television and Magazines.
The Liberal control of all access to television is the Fortress Wall that we need to blast a hole through if we are ever going to solve any problems in this nation.
