David Petraeus Pleads Guilty
The Charlotte Observer ^ | April 23, 2015 | Michael Gordon et al.

In a humbling chapter of an exemplary career, David Petraeus – a West Point grad who went on to command U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan before becoming the nation’s top spy – pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court to sharing classified information.

Under a plea agreement, Petraeus was to be sentenced by U.S. Magistrate Judge David Keesler to two years’ probation and a $40,000 fine.

As Kessler moved through the methodical proceedings, Petraeus answered questions in strong voice, one accustomed to addressing troops and congressmen.

Patraeus was sentenced in Charlotte, the city where the security breach was discovered as part of an unrelated 2012 investigation to anonymous and disparaging emails sent to Jill Kelley of Tampa, Fla. She was friends with Petraeus and a social connection to other high-ranking military brass stationed at U.S. Central Command at MacDill Air Force Base on Florida’s west coast.

I too wonder if he was set up, and perhaps more than once. Your reference to the “Lebanese-American babe” made me think of Grover Norquist and his Palestinian wife. Do you know anything about the other women it is suggested he was intimate with? I was amazed to see what Glen Beck had to say on the subject of Norquist and his highly questionable Islamic links. It makes me wonder if his no taxes pledge was part of a plot to weaken our military? And the temptation of Petraeus another plot.

You mean there is another mistress?

That's what mistress #1 apparently thought. And that is why they got caught.

Martha Stewart went to prison for being tricked into saying something that wasn't true. And the brave man who nailed her parlayed that into his gig as FBI chief.

And let's not forget Patrick Fitzgerald, the worm who prosecuted Scooter Libby, who is now a partner at Skadden Arps.

He belongs in jail, having gone after Libby in a fit of pique when Libby refused to frame his boss Dick Cheney, long after it was well known that there was no reason for Fitzgerald's special prosecutor gig in the first place.

two years’ probation and a $40,000 fine.

On the one hand, this was undoubtedly a political persecution that should never have happened the way it did. On the other hand, given that it did happen, that "sentence" is a slap on the wrist.

And on the third hand, Bill Clinton should have gone to jail for similar tomfoolery.

Except Monica was NOT a married woman with two children, and “he did NOT have SEX with that woman. ;-) Item 1. of the link posted below points out how this poisoned Broadwell’s relationship with her husband. Item 5. tells how Kelly’s sister apparently was cozying up to Governor Crist, part of a broader plot? Both sisters were well placed to infiltrate military command in Tampa and do who knows what? In fact as the second link shows, Broadwell thought Kelly was horning in on her “guy.” Was she and if so, why?

Sand fleas are common in the desert.

Too many of our GOs have spent so much time in the Middle East being wined and dined by royalty, that they no longer recognize the enemy. It’s not really that they are PC—though some are. It’s more a Stockholm Syndrome, compounded by politics and ego—a very bad mix.

Speaking of interesting, I have read most of the comments on the link I posted at FR Comment #46. Here is part of one comment there.
“’I know what you did’, ‘back off’, ‘stay away from my guy’ is wide open to interpretation. Are these the warnings of a rival lover, a rival honeypot, a guardian spook, a patriot and true believer acting on her own? How can we possibly tell when nothing is known with any degree of certainty.”

These various possibilities give one a lot to think about, so I think more Google searching is called for. I will see if I can find a link between the Lebanese/American sisters (Kelly is a married name) and Grover Norquist and his Palestinian wife or organizations he has been linked with.

Have done some more research. Here is a link with some fascinating photos of Petraeus, Kelley, Broadwell, etc. First photo has very friendly group: Natalie Khawam (Jill Kelley’s sister), the General, husband Kelley, Jill Kelley (the 2nd “other woman”) and Polly Petraeus (the wife). They all look sooo happy, wonder who knows what and when?

I Googled “General Petraeus, Grover Norquist” and came up with this interesting article near the top. It shows that Norquist’s Palestinian related relatives are committed Palestinian activists. Didn’t see anything significant about Petraeus.

Natalie Khawam (Jill Kelley’s sister)

"Natalie" is derived from the Latin Natale Domini, which means "birth of the Lord", or Christmas. Therefore, it would appear the Khawam sisters are not of the Religion of Peace, pork be upon it.

Looks like Admiral Fallon was right about Petraeus. He's a weasel.

Fallon was right about a lot of things.
