(CNN)The family of Michael Brown, the black teen killed last year by a white Ferguson police officer, plans to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the city, attorneys for the family said.
The civil suit will be announced Thursday morning in front of the St. Louis County Courthouse.
Attorneys Anthony Gray and Daryl Parks promised the lawsuit in early March after grand jury and Justice Department decisions not to charge Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting.

"They have accepted (Wilson's) self-defense," Parks told reporters at the time. "We do not accept his self-defense."
Word of the lawsuit comes more than six weeks after the Justice Department determined there was not sufficient evidence to charge Wilson in Brown's death but found in a separate investigation that the Ferguson Police Department showed a pattern of racial bias.

What a blight on society this family has been.
I think they went to the UN and asked them to prosecute. This family has no shame.
They’ll get some sort of payoff, though there was nothing wrongful in Brown’s death.

Someone, ANYONE, should shame this same crew to pledge to give EVERY dollar of what they win(IF God forbid they win.)to rebuilding Ferguson. Family doesn’t get a penny and the Lawyers don’t take a penny.

Well I wouldn’t be surprised. After all, the U. S. is one of the leading abusers of it’s populace according to the U. N.
They sure don’t have any shame. I don’t know if it’s the Black empowerment pill, or just uncommon degeneracy, but some families are certainly a scourge on the nation.
You know, the comments below I just made above, are a reverse truth that goes to highlight just how important the family unit is to a nation.
I didn’t want to pass up a moment to focus on that.
So when the Left (or even the right as they do today [Republicans]) do(es) things to destroy family cohesion, this is what we wind up with.
Things like sending social workers to homes, teaching at school that parents views are flawed, destroying jobs, preventing people from earning a decent living, over taxation, ridiculing and trying to break up religion and the respect for God, these are all things to destroy family cohesion.
The nation pays dearly for it.
