On the sate level the Republicans are an entirely different breed. What CoS does is shift power down get it?
I don’t understand.
Why does this need to be explained to some of you OVER AND OVER AGAIN, only for the same retarded “runaway convention” meme to just be repeated as if you have no ability to listen?
If some of you think you are going to skip this process and go to some shooting war fantasy, then you will find no support from many of us.
The idea is to move power down to the state level where conservatives and Republicans can grab back power. The situation is hopeless now and a CoS makes sense.
You live in Virginia? I’m going to politely say that you just don’t know what you’re talking about. I’m from the next district over from him (I don’t live there now). He’s a good man who is as true a conservative as their is. He’s as committed to restoring liberty as anyone. COS has no chance of restoring our liberty. Give me a reasoned rebuttal. No one has. They all resort to name calling, as does Mark Levin.
The Pubes that voted against this are more interested in keeping their power than they are in the well being of the country and our Constitution.
You are far more trusting than I, and I do strongly believe, based on my experience, that we will see the shift, even from State GOP types, in the end. Mine is a word of caution only: The left WILL get their proposals on the table, and the right WILL cave to their demands. It is inevitable. It WILL happen. Be very, very careful about what you wish for with Article V. It won't be all rainbows and unicorns.
Oklahoma is one of the most conservative states around. All the counties of Oklahoma voted against Obama in the Presidential election, including the major metropolitan areas (which usually go Democrat in other areas). The Democrats in Oklahoma are like Republicans in other states ... LOL ...
THE PEOPLE IN Oklahoma are, for the vast majority, very conservative ... but that doesn’t mean that they will do what you think they should do ... :-) ...
He is not a good man he has stated his position and has now proven he is another craven politician. Your support of him reflects badly on you. I’d shut up about this if I were you.
This does not reflect well on OK at all and my opinion of that state is forever changed.
There are far more political and legal constraints on a runaway convention than on a runaway Congress. - Robert Natelson

So what do the naysayers offer as an alternative to the Federal behemoth?
LOL ... you need some help or need to get on some pills or something if something like this causes you to go off on the deep end ... :-) ...
Does anyone have any Idea of the status of this effort? If twentyfive states have agreed to call this thing, what is the status of the remaining states? Not yet voting, has voted no, or will not even consider? I guess that OK can reconsider?
I guess that means you won’t be moving here, eh? ... :-) ...
The purpose of the convention, as per Article V is to propose amendments.
Once in convention, delegates may propose what their state commissions dictate.
Your cowardly words ring hollow. The statuts quo is killing you and me.
He has the purse, can write law . . .
Your fears are silly.
ok OK. time to electorally remove mr. ritz. i’ll certainly support a pro article 5 con of states opponent.
I wouldn’t move to any states where cowardly slugs defend their craven politicians.
[ You mean like the runaway convention Bob Corker is holding in the senate right now? ]
Isn’t that the same convention the supreme court has and the President and the executive branch agencies and bureaucracies are doing
