At the tender age of 33, Marie Harf has attained a special kind of immortality, joining a list of luminaries (for instance, Thomas Crapper) whose names have become verbs. The Urban Dictionary has now listed “Harfing” as a verb:

Harfing

To say or assert something so patently stupid and preposterous as to generate widespread mockery. Named in honor of State Department Spokesperson Marie Harf.

The State Department Spokesperson was harfing on about how Islamic State jihadists only needed job opportunities in order to give up their evil ways.

And yesterday, Marie gave us another example:

LOL! perfect! Let's not forget "Bidened" as well in honor of Joe Biden describing someone who is brain dead.

His family decided to donate his organs after it was determined the accident had left him bidened

What about Susan Rice? "Rice" describing someone who lies to defend their boss?

"Sheila wanted to rice for Mr. Jones as she didn't want to lose her job"

"Never could get to the article"

Do you mean the article, or the article about the article, which is about the article.

There is the original WSJ article, then there are several articles about the WSJ article, and now there are articles about the article that is about the WSJ article.

So when you click on the link it takes you to American Thinker article, where there is a link to the Hot Air article, where there is a link to the WSJ article.

But the WSJ article is behind a firewall, and you can't access it.

The original article is about the two negotiating parties negotiating sanctions relief vs sanctions re-instatement.

In other words, they are negotiating apples and oranges.

“So you suggested that maybe if you find these young men jobs, they might not become terrorists?” Blitzer asked, echoing her critics, prompting Harf to call his statement a “gross oversimplification.”

“We cannot kill every terrorist around the world, nor should we try,” Harf said later. “How do you get at the root causes of this? It might be too nuanced an argument for some.

“It will not technically, probably happen on day one.”

Brilliant explanation by someone way over their head.

There are two ways to read the WSJ article.

First, pay the WSJ subscription fee.

Or second, approach the WSJ article from Google News.

WSJ won't let you in for free if you are coming from Free Republic, American Thinker, Hot Air, Fox News, etc.

But, if you are coming from Google News, WSJ will let you in for free to read the article.

The coup de grâce is you can get past the WSJ paywall by entering the article headline into Google, do the search, then follow the found link on Google.

John Foster Dulles wouldn’t have hired her to serve coffee.

Ditto Dean Rusk, Henry Kissinger, George Shultz, or Condoleezza Rice.
