In MANY cases they have to mean it. Some do skate in the GOP basically carrying out Democrat lite policies because nobody will dare confront them, it ain’t politically correct.

My prayer is that this lady is not on the (spiritually) dark side.

That’s not much of a recommendation.

This website points out that Byrd is GOP. Apparently born in Parma too; long time in city government with last position as city clerk.

Well, for a town of just 700 people, it isn’t much of a pool to select from.

It is about time, when haters of the Republic get elected, it is time for Republic lovers to not be part of their administration, it is time for Republic lovers to stand on the sidelines and watch a new Detroit take place.

The mayor’s political affiliation is not that important because Parma likely has a weak mayor system of govt where the town council has all the power to hire the city manager, police chief, and other positions.

So which is it? Parma will turn into Detroit because the new mayor is black or corruption will be cleaned out of City Hall because she’s a republican? You can’t have it both ways.

you have to dig real deep to get to the truth here...

turns out “her honor” the new mayor’s family have had more than their share of run in’s with local officials including police...

they had legitimate safety concerns from her family..

i would have quit too...

of course this is “racist”..

She’s a Republican. Sounds like the “haters of the Republic” were the ones who ran.

If that is the extent of her experience and without knowing if she has anything more to add, it’s difficult to guess if she will be up to the task.
