I’m pretty sure that should be USAAF (we sure do discuss weighty issues around here).
The US Army Air Corp was predecessor to the US Army Air Force, which was created in June of 1941. The Air Corp name existed in some fashion until 1947 when the USAAF was spun off as its own service but I can’t find where the designation USAAC was still used after 1941.
