Marco Rubio: People "born with" sexual preference
CBS News ^ | April 19, 2015 | By REBECCA KAPLAN

Posted on 04/19/2015 10:21:27 AM PDT by Jim Robinson

Marco Rubio said he believes that sexual preference is decided at birth, but still believes that states should be able to decide if they want to define marriage as anything other than involving a man and a woman.

"It's not that I'm against gay marriage. I believe the definition of the institution of marriage should be between one man and one woman," Rubio said in an interview on CBS' "Face the Nation." "States have always regulated marriage. And if a state wants to have a different definition, you should petition the state legislature and have a political debate. I don't think courts should be making that decision."

"I don't believe same-sex marriage is a Constitutional right," Rubio added. "I also don't believe that your sexual preferences are a choice for the vast and enormous majority of people. In fact...I believe that sexual preference is something that people are born with."

Rubio sparked a debate on the issue last week after he said in an interview with Fusion's Jorge Ramos that he would attend the same-sex wedding of a gay family member or staffer even if he would "disagree with a choice they've made."

Sorry, Rubio, but that is so rare as to be negligible. Environmental and familial relationships have the greatest influence on sexual preferences. I feel really badly for those kids whose OWN sexuality is undecided and try to influence their kids to want to be what they are not. A male still retains male genes, and a female still retains female genes, even after going through sex change surgeries and hormonal therapies. You will face God in the judgment as the sex you were when born and give an account.
Rubio is going off the tracks, trying to sound like the ideal candidate. UGH!

I think most of us are born with or naturally develop later in life, an attraction to the opposite sex.

I don’t really know what leads to homosexuality though theories abound.

"I keep getting emails from his campaign to donate. I’t all I can do to keep from giving into the temptation to go off on a rant. God I hope I don’t have to “hold my nose” again next fall. This is terrible.

Maybe I should write his campaign back and explain how I feel. Politely."

I got one email from Jeb Bush requesting a donation.

My response was not polite. And it felt very, very good.

[...and yet no scientific evidence has ever been found to support their perverted lifestyle choice.]

EVIDENCE FROM THE GOD OF CREATION

18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.

26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.

28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

For me Rubio was out with his support of the amnesty bill and his lies when he went on the Limbaugh show.

This one will likely strike him out with those in the base that don't find the amnesty issue as a primary one. Tis a shame. Maybe he'll run as a new kind of democrat.

"I also don't believe that your sexual preferences are a choice for the vast and enormous majority of people. In fact...I believe that sexual preference is something that people are born with."

If true, then homosexual attraction would be a defect... perhaps genetic or mental. No matter how much we are forced to "accept" it, no matter how much you try, two guys are not... never ever... going to reproduce by having butt or oral sex. You can't deny science... you can't deny nature.

I don't give a hoot what consenting adults do in their own bedrooms... but don't try to force me to accept it as "normal" because it is not. Don't try to force our kids to accept it and don't force them to "get with the program" on this.

Instead of being in government, perhaps Rubio should direct his efforts somewhere more appropriate like some gay organization or something.

Perhaps Marco could explain why over 80% of homosexuals were MOLESTED AS CHILDREN, and how THAT may have influenced their lifestyle CHOICE?!?!?

I could have believed, back when it was verboten to be openly sodomite, that those who did so in spite of society, were born with that particular moral perversion which may have gained strength due to nurture. I just don't know. But this current environment positively encourages children who would probably otherwise never think consciously about sexual matters at all, to not only be prematurely conscious of sexual matters, but to feel "free" (ie they're encouraged) to be as morally perverse as they want to be. There's a reason the left wanted sex ed taught in schools and taken from the hands of their parents and religious leaders-so that they could mold an entire society, through generations, to acceptance and embrace of moral perversions (sodomy, murder of the unborn, promiscuity, no-fault divorce, etc). The kids who don't "question their sexuality" at early, early ages these days, are the ones who, in the minds of the left, "slipped through the cracks".

Not a fan of Rubio, but I do believe deviant sexual orientation is often a type of birth defect, but can also result from mental and psychological trama of a sexual nature.

But neither case justifies ACTING on whatever impulses you might have.

I have been married over 20 years, and as I am fond of saying “I am married, not dead” when it comes to noticing attractive women. But there is a MASSIVE difference between being attracted to someone and ACTING on those feelings (or even dwelling on them for that matter)

From the research I have done on ‘Gayness’; I believe of the 2.5% of the Gay community .75% were born that way. The rest do it by choice.

As a guy I can almost understand women being homosexuals because of their feminism and of course those who are clearly butch. I guess if I use the same logic about men then it’s understandable for girly men to be homosexuals too.

Then there are those like Rock Hudson that I completely don’t get. I know there is a running fabric of deviancy in Hollywood that draws a certain crowd into doing things they normally might not but still; it’s unimaginable to think of certain guys being homosexual but they are.

If what I believe is true; then I’m grateful I wasn’t born with that gene that makes some people Gay. I’m even more grateful I wasn’t born with that gene that makes some people feel they were born the wrong sex. That’s really got to be confusing when they are mentally one sex and biologically another.
