Your View: How could anyone vote for Hillary?
The New Bedford Standard-Times ^ | April 18, 2015 | Steve DiMarzo, Jr.

Early in the political season now, we have four who have declared their intentions to run for the presidency of the United States: Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio and Hillary Clinton. One would think after having experienced some of the worst economic woes ever heaped upon the American public by the most un-American Democratic administration in our history that anyone would even consider Hillary Clinton as a viable candidate is beyond logical reasoning.

Hillary's political "baggage" seems to grow each and every year that she is around in some kind of official position in our government, as witnessed by her stint as secretary of state, where she oversaw the deaths of four of our brave Americans in Benghazi.

Her official stance was that it was a "video" that incited to riot those Libyans to kill our ambassador and three others defending him. However, the truth is that she and the others at the State Department and President Obama knew within minutes that this was a terrorist attack, yet denied that fact even today.

How can anyone, even those of you of the left, even consider this woman even remotely qualified to run this country with her record of deceit and deception about this act and others?

Even in potential swing states, no one seems to be able to trust her judgment or even her honesty to tell the truth especially when it comes to her deleting all of her emails on her private server, which were State Department official documents required to be saved and preserved. Yet, most of you on the left want to give her a pass just because she is a liberal.

Only twice in the last century has a third term been given to a ruling president in power. Don't expect that trend to extend to Hillary being elected in 2016, and that is because she is toxic in all things pertaining to transparency, honesty, trustworthiness and openness.

Even though we have on the right three tea party favorites right now to potentially vote for, any one of them would make a much better president that Hillary in so many ways. Ted Cruz has said that the federal government has specific duties and everything else should be left up to the states to decide: this includes, same-sex marriage, abortion, education standards, school choice, voter ID, health care and anything else not covered in the constitutional responsibilities of the federal government.

Now, for the federal government to be the official arbiter of all of these things is an abuse of power. These delicate items should be resolved at the state level, which should give all of us insight into who will actually be the best president for this country in 2016.

The left will continue to "defraud" our electoral system by granting "illegal's" the right to vote through the granting of licenses in both California and New York, both liberal states hell-bent on "stealing" elections with non-citizen votes. This is the only way for Democrats to win in 2016, through voter fraud and through Hillary Clinton being portrayed as the savior of America. We cannot afford another liberal president.

People will vote for her because she is a woman and it will make history.

It is all about making history.

Of course if you don’t vote for her, you will be labeled as sexist.

If you didn’t vote for Obama, you were labeled as a racist.

And that one winner would immediately become a conservative.

It's what the Left does - they vote for the most socialistic commie they can and use their color or sex as the "biggest sign that they deserve to be there".

We, on the other hand, will refuse to vote for some very good candidates because we all have our pet peeves about what disqualifies one from being president (even when faced with the alternative of an Obama or a Hillary) and cannot bring ourselves to coalesce around someone no matter what the stakes. Many of us will blow a lot of smoke up each other's butts about how we need to get a certain candidate, but will not donate our money or our time because we "trust others to do it for us".

Then, when we get the most perfect candidate since Reagan in a Cruz, we have our factions who will try to show their "smarts" by declaring him ineligible to run for not being a natural born citizen. Not to mention those that are now claiming Cruz id tainted because he's supposedly pro-amnesty.

With some of the folks we have "on our side" it's no wonder the Left keeps encroaching farther and farther on removing our Constitution and the Freedoms to allows us by the Grace of God. Many "conservatives" consider themselves so pure that they can find major faults where tiny moles exist and will do everything in their power to stop these "defective" candidates even though the end result will be another term for an Obama or Obama clone. They call this process "being principled".

God help us.
