Supreme Summoning: Chief Justice John Roberts Called For Jury Duty By John Verhovek and Ariane de Vogue, CNN April 16, 2015

Chief Justice John Roberts was seen at a Montgomery County courthouse performing his civic duty as a prospective juror for a car crash case, according to a report first published by The Washington Post.

Although Roberts ultimately was not chosen to serve on a jury, that's probably just as well, because oral arguments before the Supreme Court are scheduled to last through April 29.

The Post reported that Roberts answered questions regarding his relatives, and told the local court that his sister is a nurse in Indiana and his brother-in-law is with the Indiana State Police

Tell them John, tell the courts that you are way too busy and too popular to just sit in a Jury Pool like some potted plant.

He’s a judge. He can mail in his vote (”guilty”, every time).

Be sure to tell them that you’re easily intimidated, John. That’ll save everyone a lot of time during jury selection.

Although Roberts ultimately was not chosen to serve on a jury, that's probably just as well,

Because the case involves arguing points in the English language which he sadly does not seem to understand.

Back in law school, I interned with a judge in D.C. who HATED having lawyers or other judges on his juries (DC, not surprisingly, has the highest concentration of lawyers per capita in the country).

I’m not sure he has a clear enough mind to sit on a jury.
