Small potatoes. Lucas McCain killed well over a hundred.

Yes and perfect in Deadwood. Boyd made the show great also. He was also great in The Shield. Did Ava get sexier or was it just my fantasy?

I hope it doesn’t screw the proverbial pooch like LOST, BSG (heck, even Fringe to an extent).

The ending of Justified was good. It didn't go the way I expected, but I was not disappointed in it. It was actually one of the better final episodes I've seen in many series I've watched.

My favorite Raylan quote (as close as I can remember it):"if you meet an asshole in the morning, chances are they were an asshole. If you're meeting assholes all day long, chances are - you're the asshole"

My favorite

Raylan Givens: [to Dewey Crowe] Hey, if I was you, I’d give up this Nazi bullshit. Go back to poaching gators. It’s safer.

My favorite Raylan quote will always be “Next one’s comin’ quicker.” (after he tosses a bullet at a guy’s chest)

This last season of Justified was excellent. Sam Elliott plays a superb bad guy.

Do not mourn too much as Justified was near to exhausting its premise. After six great seasons, even new characters and plot lines in a TV show tend to become reminiscent of past ones.

Fortunately, there will be more quality shows because of the newly fluid economics of TV production and distribution, an abundance of talent at all levels of the industry, and lots of money chasing show proposals. I have no doubt that we are in the true golden age of TV.

Longmeier

Longmire's German cousin?

(Good show, in any case)

Well besides my on going crush on Timothy Olyphant which started with Deadwood the characters and the dialogue were the big plus’s for me. I love edgy stuff and Justified was that. There will never be another Raylan Givens.

No, it is Season 3 and I do believe it is Win Duffy he throws the bullet at.

I'd deny that a big reason why I loved "Justified" was that Timothy Oliphant is such a hottie but nobody, including my boyfriend, would believe me. But the other big thing was as you said, the writing was fantastic. The dialog was exceptional and there were always things appearing out of left field that you never saw coming. The interaction between Boyd and Raylan were always highlights but heck, the interaction between Raylan and anyone were always great.

Plus I loved the fact that just about everyone who was anyone on "Deadwood" made an appearance on "Justified" somewhere along the way. Except Ian McShane. I would have loved seeing him as a criminal mastermind in one season.

One of my favorites was in Season four, after one of Augustine's henchman reacts with surprise at the news that Constable Bob had killed Yolo.

"People underestimate Bob at their peril."

It was a story about poor rural Southeasterners that didn't make fun of them and actually pictured them as intelligent and sympathetic (even the villains).

And yes, the language was poetry (not counting the obscenities and vulgarities that every show has to have nowadays).

Use to watch Longmier too but it disappeared. Did it pop up on Netflix???

Netflix picked up the fourth season of Longmire. They started filming last month, for release later this year (early fall last I heard). It seems like Netflix and Amazon are making the best TV these days.

Yes if memory serves the big boys from Detroit and Miami didn't fare very well against the good ol' boys from Kentucky.

The guy who played Dewey is Australian.

He is playing a detective on a new show Battle Creek kind of funny cop show.
